Remove the chaos res penalty.
" I want nothing at max. I want to be able to handle what's going on around me to survive - with any class & build that is at least average well done. If this means I had to have the full 'set' of possible defensives at a maximum - I'd not call it my fault but of design. I agree you shouldn't be able to max Chaos Res, but at the same time it also shouldn't force builds into CI or Insane life and regen(yes you should get life/es no matter what because you need a decent pool). The thing to realize though is this is a very very new change and there will be tweaks to come, constructive feedback and discussion is what is needed....not "your a noob" "no you are" posts.

I dont want to beat a dead horse, but ive gotta add my voice to this.
-Chaos resistance should either become part of resist all, or -put chaos back to 0 resist like it was in CB Im currently playing a version of invalescos EK armor/hp build. I have -20 chaos resist in cruel mode, and while i have decent survivability on the whole, those poison throwers in act 3 REALLY make me avoid the sewers...in any case, please reconsider your stance on chaos damage, its way too unfair in its current state and there just arent any feasible ways to defend against it unless you want to go for CI or ridiculous hp/hp regen. |

Also stealth Prismatic Ring droprate nerf. ;) Kind of a minor point, but it was in there. * The amount isn't 20-30 like elemental rings, it's 10-20. This is modeled off the relevant suffixes; elemental gets max 42-45, chaos gets max 26-30, so I was aiming at 60-67% conversions. Probably should have made it 12-20. IMO, knock the resistance penalty down just a few notches.
-45 to 50% in merciless (though -45 seems a tad low TBH) -12.5 to 15% in cruel There you go. It's good to fear chaos. It definitely should not be included in All Resist. I don't even know why people are suggesting that. It would also help build diversity if there were a few extra mini-chaos resist nodes over in the strength area. I'm currently on -60%, level 55 1h/shield duelist and I am struggling a fair amount against chaos. There really is only one thing I wanted to bring up- this is exactly the kind of mechanic where a lack of high-level gear after launch will cause issues, not so much once more people break into the 70's etc. This is not the sign of a good, fun gameplay-mechanic imo. I understand the thinking behind it, but I have not yet been able to see the upside of it due to lack of gear. ATM it effectively just locks me out from progressing further. Which isn't fun.
I'm sure I'll learn to live with whatever, but I don't really see the plus. Why don't the seasons fear the reaper?

Currently at 65 on marauder. 2.4k life and -32 chaos resist in Merciless Act2, 2-3 snakes can kill me very quickly if im not super careful, nothing else in the act can hurt me. Chaos is massively imbalanced in its current implementation imho.
