Remove the chaos res penalty.
Before it was chaos it was goat shamans with molten shell. I like the fact that something has a "chance" to kill you if your playing poorly. Especially when you can out level the maps. The end game needs to be harder so players die more often. Notice that when they took out "chaos of maelstrom" ppl quit dying late game. I thikn the maps need a rework to be uber brutal so ppl dont make cheese builds and go slaughter them with 1 skill aura builds.
I vote to up chaos damage by 50%, make it a stat worth stacking over the other resists. |

well chaos is supposed to be difficult to deal with...
if you dont want to deal with chaos you can take CI and have the exact same problem with other stuff in the game - like shock and stun - or puncture ... there should always be something, that you have difficulties dealing with, or the game will just be really boring. chaos is in a good spot atm. If you are a life based, have CI or 30%+ CI resistance in merciless, Chaos damage is just another form of damage that you don't worry about (its just getting to that 30%+ CI resistance, which is what the gear check is) The original incarnation of chaos damage was actually more "difficult" and wasn't just another mundane gear check |
