Remove the chaos res penalty.
As a ranged glass cannon ice witch, I find it stressful as all hell having to worry about one second of poison arrow being able to kill me, as I only have 500hp.
If I were to ever choose to play melee in this ranged favored game, I would have to at least have 4000+hp by the time I hit merciless, on top of having to play defensive as hell. Chaos damage as it stands currently, is absolutely gimmicky, after all. Are we not some sort of human? Why do we not have passive Chaos Resist? I definitely agree with adding Chaos Resist to all resist. |

I agree. -60% chaos res is just too much for most characters.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

i agree that it scales too fast. the other resists are much more plentiful in both items and passives, but (correct me if i'm wrong) chaos resists are much less frequent. maybe if they didnt increase it along with the elemental resists, or rather scale it less, then it would pose too big a problem.

They aren't actually say they want to be able to get it capped, what they are saying is that a -60% penalty to already hard to get nodes in comparison to the other resist nodes that are easier to get access to, and resist all except chaos is not exactly balanced.

I started to feel this at the start of act 3 in cruel. Even with 1500 hp, the snakes rip through me like butter. It takes them roughly 5 hits to kill me. Unacceptable. Needs to be changed back to what it used to be, IMO.

My own opinion, is that this wasnt a real well thought out decision.
The way it is currently, All Resists Gear does not apply to chaos. This is IMO, the major fundamental flaw, because all other penalties apply to it like the rest of the elements. It was a last minute decision for Open BETA. So these suggestions and this feedback is great. I've yet to even face the chaos resistance penalty but given my hatred of chaos damage and agreement that GGG has no real idea what they want Chaos damage to be...I am a little afraid. :)
