Remove the chaos res penalty.

Hello all how about they make it -10% in C and 30% in M that seems fair i think.
How is -30 fair? With one item you could be at 0.

It's SUPPOSED to be difficult to get + resistance to chaos damage.
i dont know why the penalty anyway, just the premise of me becoming weaker as i gain levels is stupid...
at least in diablo 2 they gave you items to max out res easily even on hell as items could have up to 40% single res or up to 30% to all res...oh and at least defense worked...

point is, you could tank even the uber trio in tristam with a DECENT build, with easily obtainable eq(easily obtainable when compared to poe that is)

Because D2 is still a better game then PoE?
I know I had more fun playing D2. And much less frustration. PoE is in beta, but it has been less fun from the start and has not become closer to D2.
Just the choice of good and gritty aRPG today is PoE or crappy D3/TL2.

Personally I love PoE and also loved playing D2 for many many years. But I am honestly getting fed up with chaos resist penalties. I'm only in act 3 Cruel at the moment and I get raped by those spine shooting snakes. I wish the devs would switch back to the way it was in closed beta. No chaos resist passives or mods and no goddamn penalties!

there used to be much less frustration in poe but developers are determined to nerf this game until just those 2-3 "hardcore" players remain, they have killed so many builds and nerfed so much eq and drops up to this point that it is really starting to get annoying

my god, i just realised how much they nerfed discipline for OB, no wonder i felt something was weird...

Solution.... run past chaos damage zones and farm places where it is low or nonexistant. Though next soution from GGG maybe would be stick chaos damage mobs in every area. Just don't understand what those chaos resistances give.

That's pretty much what I do. For me, the chaos damage zones are now a waste of GGG's money, developing areas where nobody wants to stay/be. It's a shame, really...

This is not always a viable solution as there are times when you are getting good drops in a chaos zone and if you run it you know you are missing the chance of finding top tier currency or even a unique..... I for one would risk it if have the chance of getting some nice drops.

But whole negative chaos thing is unbalanced by making it equivelent to element res. Chaos damage bypasses shields so it can potentially do more damage to life then elemental damage or phys damage making its negative resist equivelence unbalanced. It is again further unbalance by its rarity of positive res bonuses on gear and its comparitive scarcity on the passive tree. How did GGG come to such an unbalanced decision?
