NO MORE PATH OF LIFE NODES

I n this game you get killed my lined up RNG. you can get killed in 2 hits even with koams or 9k ES.

It dont matter how long you tank mobs, the fact you tank them will get you killed in the end

I dont know thats really true. The only thing that can kill a tanky character in 2 hits or less is Kole in Lunaris or Brutus/Vaal in maps. Maybe 2 strong charges from a map boss rhoa.

I don't know, I feel perfectly fine with 5700 ES. The key is never get into crowd of monsters, one or two just scratch my ES.
the will probably call it path of armor now or something

To know how the change will affect us, we need to know how much the monsters' damage was reduced.

Let's take an example : I have something like around +250% health from my tree (at 8% per node : 31.25 nodes), for a total of 5K HP, i.e around 1430 base health (with STR and stuff).

If monster's damage is reduced by 25% (and nodes from 8% to 6%), I'd need 3750K health to keep the same survivability, i.e I'd need "only" +160% health (at 6% per node : 26.67 nodes). So, I can either add more survivability, or spend 4-5 nodes into something else.

Btw, resistances are really fine. With my tree (+60% fire, +30% cold/lightning), I only need 4 pices of equip to be way above the caps and 5 to be capped with elemental weakness (without purity and endurance charges).

The problem with armor is quite simple : you always have some but you cannot really stack it.

Keep also in mind that higher dps on your character means you need to spend less time taking hits.

Yes, ofc, but that's hard to give fat numbers there. You can also take into account the reflected damage (more dps and less hp :p), the regeneration, the auras (blood magic), etc, etc etc.

About 9K within 2 hits : lol. Yeah, let's facetank a big boss, without enfeeble, endurance charges, granite and non-capped resists and blame GGG for the death :)

Wouldn't the nerf to HP hurt Blood Magic builds. The cost of skills is still the same.

Kinda sucks for low life players like me. HP will remain the same (I have no life nodes), but ES total will be lower and I will therefore have less regen to balance out RF.

Low life and RF build are not the same.

My friend's 6L Lionseye build cost so much life that he couldn't not kill himself without a Kaom's, I guess he's screwed.. :P

This change really makes me want to go ES/Eva or Hybrid Phase Acrobatics.

Considering damage of monsters got nerfed in conjunction with life node power means that builds that rely on life nodes and are very effective will reman so after the update. It's just that other ways got more viable now.

I use BM Passive. Aint nothing Life leech can't take care of.

Those builds would need to reduce the amount of life node they use unless they want to decrease the life*dps number. (Yes multiplication of your life times your dps).

To put it bluntly what happens when you go too many life nodes:

"ERRR, should I choose 4% "More" damage or 2% "More" Life?" Hurr Durr
