Exp loss is dumb [Removed by Support]
I don't have any problem with losing the XP i made from the map i got killed on , but losing the XP from previously completed maps ? That's lame . During later levels that mechanic either forces the players to grind over & over the same safe waystones instead of attempting challenging ones , or it forces you into playing the most broken builds . It's also time intensive when the grind to Lvl 100 takes a long time already . For reference 10% of my EXP at Lvl93 roughly represent what i got from a Tier XVI Paradise map with +500% XP gain mod . Even if you die once every ten or fifteen maps you'll make no progress to Lvl 100 , 10% penalty is that huge .

Beat every pinnacle boss up to +4 at level 90, don't plan on leveling anymore no point, already did everything those last 10 levels arnt going to make me noticeably stronger.
Already finished all the content anyway at 90. Gear was more important then levels for me all the way up. |

Tho I think the loss XP on death is a bit high 10% would prefer 5% if they don't have one all players would get to level 100 easily and have nothing to work to i am level 91 would be 100 if I had not died all the damn time
sorry to say I like the XP loss makes me try to get better and not die as much tho as I said would want 5% tho as 2 bars (10%) is annoying to lose now you can call me dumb, LOL |

" its not dumb to say u like it, the original point of the post was to get the attention of many of the try hard elitist that defend it with statements like "skill issue", "just say you suck bro lol", or the best one "get good". the fact that the "XP penalty and likely 1 portal is NOT going anywhere" post (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3704437) is constituently at the top of feedback board along with other similar post shows how divisive the endgame actually is. im not one to advocate for sweeping nerfs or the complete casualization of games to appeal to the broader audience but some concession have to be made for players who value fun over challenge. if the endgame is to remain as challenging as it is than something has to be done about the exp loss its demoralizing to get essentially taxed for every mistake especially when the entire story encourages trial and error |

" Not really. You can avoid XP loss if you get ressed by a teammate before bleedout expires or you can do it yourself solo with operator. And that XP loss only applies to affinity gained on current mission so dying does not lose you hours of progress. I have 100% achievements done in Warframe, 2.5k hrs played, mastered all weapons except six (half of which are some old primes which I refuse to buy on market and hope for resurgence rotations to get the relics), all frames, companions, amps and everything else. Warframe has much better endgame than PoE2 and is more fun. But it's also a completely different game. You can't compare looter-shooter to ARPG. |
