Exp loss is dumb and so r those that support it

Because you say you feel your time disrepected and find death demoralizing. Why is that ? Because you want to reach level 100. Why ?

Dude the point of the game is to progress and improve your character. Every time you level up, you receive passive points, most people have an idea of where they want to put those passive points.

I think the system just needs a re-think, either reduce it at higher levels to compensate for the exponential growth in required exp per level or give us the option to retrieve the loot that was lost at least. Death is just too punishing at the moment, it matters too much.

r u stupid, high, ur just intentionally dense, i want me character to grow and feel stronger is the simple answer, cause 10-4 more skills for the level 90 and higher crowd will make a difference and certainly 30 skills for my level 70, because reaching the maxium threshold of power eliminates the dilemma of "if i was stronger i could have won". all that and then some more is y exp loss is dumb and so r u for defending it. u might now feel like it would make a difference but its not gonna stop the psyche from telling me it would and u insulting isnt going to change that, nor is telling me or anyone else to "do better". heres a solution if 100 is prize to be coveted by the likes of you why cant the story end with the character at 99 with the last level taking an additional amount of exp equivalent to levels 1-99, then at least u would have a leg to stand on as 1 point isnt probably going to make a difference and you can keep you oh so important gamer pride

Exponential XP required to level up would mean nothing without the flat 10% XP penalty.

Improving your character past level 90-95 isn't made with passive points. People thinking they should have those 10 last passive points (out of 124) don't realize most normal PoE players consider their talent trees done at level 85-90.

Gear, overall build synergies, planning, knowledge, and skill, are much more important to progress than level at this point.

Nobody is asking you to reach level 100. Nobody. Ever. It's not required for anything. That's not how PoE/2 are designed. That's all in your head, that's a self imposed challenge.

Even at level 100 you will die over and over and over again and then what ? You'll still blame the game for not giving you god-like gear, or having too strong enemies, or asking too much attention/skill/reflexes of the players.

If you think the missing points are what you lack to clean the end of the endgame content, then you are truly mistaken.

XP loss is fine. Losing your map is not fine.

really kinda like the arbitrary exp loss that i can just grind in story/pay some Chinese guy across bay ala elon to accomplish, if the last levels r arbitrary why cant they be gained without loss. also love how ur ignoring the fact that this shit kicks in around level 65-70 when most players have finished the story and how thats the filtering point not the people who stay in the abusive game till 90+ when it becomes impossible unless ur playing perfect

it is cause its a currency and that can be earned back thru attrition level loss cannot be overcame except thru conformity to the "vision". i dont want to see sweeping nerfs come across to address player drop off cause the endgame is hard, id like to see the filtering point addressed tho
You get hardly anything for the last few levels.

Maybe you didn't think about this or don't understand how the game works.

Your least important nodes go last on your tree. If they were important, you would get them earlier. If you don't have your best nodes, unspec the worse nodes, and get the better ones right now. If you are playing correctly, you already got all your best nodes in their order of importance.

Increasing your increased damage from 800% to 815% is not going to change how you play. You won't even notice those levels.

Ya'll are just whining that the game isn't letting you win easily enough.

After this, you would whine that rare chase uniques don't drop enough, currency doesn't drop enough, perfect rares don't drop enough. Yeah that's why those things have value, because they are difficult to get, just like level 100.
