Diablo Immortal is POE killer

I hate to be the ONLY one who is gonna defend Blizzard, but this feels equivalent to a random dude on the street saying "Hey, give me all your money".

He is not threatening you, you don't know him. So maybe, don't give him your money?

And if you do, maybe just maybe take responsibility for it?

I played 2 hours of DI, saw the constant requests to purchase loot, and deleted it.

Why is this so hard? Pay if you want to pay, play free if you want, or delete it?

All this crying about PTW makes it seem like someone snuck into your home and put a gun to your childs head.

Do you have have ZERO responsibility for your actions?

You realize that crying about games like this is asking someone else to be the adult, like Asmongold trying to get gov intervention to stop loot boxes and outlaw games like DI.

I don't like DI, think its a bad game with a bad concept, so I wont play it. But why do you want other people choosing for you?

Are you not responsible? Are you not an adult? Can you not be trusted to make choices with your own money?

Embrace responsibility, embrace choices and being an adult. Stop begging for someone to save you from yourself.

It more like a drug dealer, offering you a free sample. Do you defend those too?
Curious how the same names are going for the forums only targetting blizzard on their agenda while there's always barely anything ever said regarding the lootboxes here..

Yes, I will continue to bring this on. On every. single. monetization. thread.

What in-game content can you get from paid lootboxes in PoE?

When PoE starts advertising them after maps with a popup and also change the boxes so they contain in game equipment then we can talk about this.

Dude, most people aren't complaining because they get pay requests in DI, it's about Blizzard turning the Diablo Franchise into a freaking Gatcha game. Gatcha games aren't ARPG, even if they can look like one the core mechanic of these games range from making you pay to literally try to bleed you dry. They don't need to force you with a knife or gun to open your wallet, there's a whole field in Psychology dedicated to how and why people do what they wouldn't otherwise.

How would you feel if GGG added a cash button on the map device to run maps. If you don't cash in, all you get is normal/white maps with a chance of getting a random blue/magic rolled map. However, if you cash in you get to run maps as Yellow/Rare, and the more you cash in the more juiced it gets? You'd just run the free maps and watch the streamers do the juiced ones?

Wow, are you serious here?

Because we already see that more and more games are being designed, built and programmed around trying to get you to pay. We see gambling specialists being hired by gaming companies to maximize the psychological science behind it. What we see, is giant scams being wrapped in a gaming wrapping.

If we as players just sit back and say "buhu, personal responsibility", what stops the entire gaming industry to turn into EA/Blizzard/whatever? Their personal responsibility?

For me, it's not so much about D:I as a game. It's more about one of the biggest companies, using one of the biggest IP's on the market, and turning it into a clear cash grab.

I wanted to write "/whooosh" here, but...
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
