GGG - Stop using double standards

I don't see anything different on the flavour text, it's still instant leech just at a 'new' 'lower' rate= no legacy.

Gold.

Another way to create legacy items (at least for Uniques) is if we ADD OR REMOVE ENTIRE MODS from the item.
So acuity in this sense should become legacy indeed.

acuity have no mod removed, nor added. the existing mod will be changed.

Well, textually there is a line added and can be treated as a mod.

But no matter whether you tread it as a new mod or a change to the old mod, GGG dont change MECHANICS or what the mod DOES - it DOES instaleech on crit and continues doing so.

Interesting, so this could mean they arbitrarily chose Acuity not to become legacy.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Yes, they are.
This whole thread about that, man.
Aaron Ciccheli, a guy who made millions running Diablo and PoE RMT sites, owns a significant portion of GGG. How's that for a conflict of interest? 7.5% of your supporter pack money goes to this guy.

You might be right (we don't really know, GGG pls?) but you stated the wrong reasons, that's why everyone jumped on you and that other guy. As far as we can tell the effectiveness mod is brand new and therefore there was no numerical value change.

So you're saying you would have preferred it if they deleted the 100% leech amount, created a new mod with 60% leech amount, substituted that new mod into the item to forcibly create legacy?? Shit man. You really stupid.

Edit:
From what I can tell, the item basically references a mod in the data. If it's a fixed mod it will change it directly but if it has a data range, it can't change it without a divine orb. It has nothing to do with adding/creating a new mod.

Leech applies instantly on Critical Strike

I don't see a number, do you?

Yes instantly with 100% effectiveness, now they change the effectiveness to 60% but not make the legacy.

Instantly without a modifier. Now they added a new modifier hence no legacy. But people with zero programming knowledge will never understand.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.
I can never get back the time I spent reading this thread.

OP, There are no double standards here. The % Effectiveness of the Acuity's leech is being changed, yes. But it is a mechanic change, not a value change. Like PoE, GGG is very specific with words, often in odd ways. A mechanic change CAN be a simple value change, but not in the way you're thinking of.

The modifier for the insta leech is a pointer, and it points to the insta leech mod code. There is no value attached to it. It follows exactly what the code it's pointing to is telling it. If they changed it to "Player poops rainbow lollipop farts on critical strike", it'd do that instead of leeching instantly. That's why they can change the effectiveness on Acuity's leech. There is no value to put on the item's data, only what is explicitly stated by the modifier's base data.

Compare that to the Shavs. The ES total was reduced, but current % increase value is saved on the individual item's data. The modifier points to what it's supposed to, and then applies the value it has on file. If you were to re-roll it with a divine, it'd re-roll within the new values.

Also, item quantity gems really aren't legacy. They're discontinued. Current ones still exist, yes, but legacy requires there be a different, and still available version.
