So what about Cloak of Defiance, where a mod has been removed. Will it become legacy or not?

" Maybe, but the mod on the gloves is the same as the old Vaal Pact, without the flask part. If it's programmed the same way Cloak of Defiance is, where the mod grants it a Keystone, then they can nerf that keystone and the item will be nerfed at the same time, old versions included. That's most likely what they're doing with the Acuity gloves. Doesn't matter if 100 is a number or not. We can't tell what the fuck is going on unless we know the programming behind the items. " It shouldn't become legacy, not sure though. It all depends on how they coded it I guess. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

maybe this move indicate that GGG is not the biggest RMT behind poe. They could have make big $ with acuity going legacy.

It's a whole new mod, because the previous one didn't explicitly state "with 100% effectiveness". This means they had to code a whole new mod to be even able to change the effectiveness. Simple once you're able to grasp how programming works.

It is very simple. GGG doesn't like legacy items but often there is no way around them. If a mod is shared by multiple uniques, then you can not just redefine what the mod does for one items and what it doesnt for another. Aka perandus (10% block ->5%) is impossible to make this give you 5% without actually making every x% block chance to be worth x/2 % block chance for every other item too. Instant leech is a mod that is unique. You can do what ever the fuck you want with it and since only acuity has it, you can avoid legacies by changing the mod itself.
