Sorry, but these small numbers mean nothing. And there won't be a SFL anyway.

It means three times as many people support the idea of SFL than oppose it.

In that thread, yes. As has been explained a couple of times in this thread, there's a huge positive bias in that poll.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
There was a huge negative bias in that poll as well. Go run your own poll if you think the other one is biased. Until then numbers don't lie.

Pretty sure there was huge negative bias too...

The most vocal players are almost always the diehard fanboys that can't bear to see PoE change a single atom about its current state

I'm sure that if pro-SFL players ran into that poll, then the diehards absolutely dived into it.
Not to pile on, but isn't a poll basically supposed to measure bias?

Do you prefer ice cream or cake? Cake.

omgomglol so biased response he obviously doesn't prefer ice cream so don't trust that poll

I think that instead of creating an entirely new league, the drop rates should be balanced so that self found isn't an obviously inferior option.

Because right now, self found is gimping yourself when trading is a huge advantage.

There isn't nearly enough data for this "statistical inference" to be reliable.

Nice graph, but you have some major problems in your approach.
Statistically you can't just do a pool of such a small number of people compared to the number of people playing and expect any viable data to actually look like what you have on your graph.

Realistically anyone who wants to play SF can just do that. Nothing other than your own will and wants can ever dictate your approach to any circumstance. Who cares what other people have or any of that, if you want to play SF just do it, I have problems comprehending why your own league would make things any different.

I have tried to understand this point of view also, there was a 100+ page thread a while back that I read as it was going on, so believe me I have tried.

Yes, you certainly do.

Unfortunately, you have even less data to say it isn't. We've got numbers, you've got "nuh-uh".

I agree. Either fixing the drop rates or fixing the "success" chance of using orbs would make a SFL unneeded. It's unlikely GGG will set off a nuclear bomb in their own economy though. Isolate the noisy extremists (SFL) and GGG can go back to marketing MTX packs and paid leagues.

That's fine. Dissolve the hardcore league and people can just delete their characters if they die.
