...::: SFL Poll results and conclusions :::...
Greetings my gamer colleagues, I will try to keep this as short as possible.
First I must say that I'm not SFL fanatic. I like the idea but .. good percent of self found you can even emulate right now, in the state game currently is, however ... nah, it's not same. Game does not feel right. I made this poll out of simple curiosity and I must admit that I didn't expect these results. They were surprise to me as they were to anybody else. Right now the definition of SFL is highly debatable theme. Lets just say that most of guys want to find (or craft) their own gear, not be forced to buy it. Problem with game in current state is that you grind for orbs /gold. There is no excitement in finding new sword or whatever when you can easily using poe.xyz buy better one. Also those amazingly concepted orbs as crafting system are totally economically unjustified to use. So you don't play for gear or crafting, all you play for is gold /orbs. Lot (LOT!!) of people find this system to be essentially faulty. Trading as design choice has tremendous impact on game core mechanics, question is - is it desirable one? I will just mention that Blizzard invented perfect trading system, the (in)famous Action House that changed game so dramatically that as result, right now, they are removing it and MASSIVELY boosting the loot /drops. They just want for people to play the game and find their own shit. Does it sound familiar? These are the SFL poll results. A - STRONGLY in favor. B - In favor, C - don't care. D - AGAINST. I think these results are indicative. IMO it would be foolish to disregard them easily. GGG as company (bravely) depend on goodwill of players. This game is changing daily. Now they realeased the game (1.00) officially. More and more people/magazines/media are noticing it. Would it be right to go into "mass appeal /noob friendly" wagon, with the rest of big sharks, or become niche, or even offer niche within the niche (SFL)? Is internet big enough for small company to make decent business around this phenomenon? I say yes but they need to decide for themselves. Last but definitely not least I must mention that with strong and rightly implemented (permanent?) SFL we would get rid of RMTers, Boters, flippers, professional traders, all other guys that would enjoy/reap the game goods and would not deserve it. If you see guy with badass gear then you would know he's earned it, unlike now. It is a big issue and definite thumb up. Think about it. Very nice.
Man, I would love if GGG would make a poll thread as they did for the loot drops, so we can see even for bigger numbers what forum members think. |

I didnt vote for your previous post, +1 to strongly favour for a future graph

Sorry, but these small numbers mean nothing. And there won't be a SFL anyway.

they already said its a no go....
btw +1 from my side (i mean i vote A) |

" They mean something, as we have some number now. Dont be so sure about no SFL in the future, you would be surprised what it can bring, same as the loot allocation |
|
I'd be much more interested in the actual numbers than in a graph whose bars add up to more than 100%...

" Lol you're funny one : ) Graph says everything really, only if you read it right : ) but if you need exact numbers ... Though I support SFL and all kinds of interesting league ideas, the poll results don't change anything. Chris hates the idea of SFL. There won't be something like SFL until paid user leagues come around, or GGG start seeing dollar signs.

" The bars in the graph are the actual numbers. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
