" Well you see GGG will never implement a self found league. But they most likely would consider tweaking gambling success/failure and maybe even do some work on the loot tables. And the only players that suffer from that is traders. |

" Out of curiosity, just how far into the game do you get when you always stop at level 60 on your hardcore characters? Last edited by CassCE#6814 on Dec 7, 2013, 12:03:47 PM

" And we trash peoples opinion based on what lvl their chars have. Keep the elitism to yourself, nobody has to be a lvl 84 or something to voice their opinion. |

" I don't "stop". I play the characters in parallel. No character is allowed to play if it's more than five levels above the lowest. When a character dies, it has to be leveled up before any of the others are played. This keeps me from twinking to the gills. I can't find level 60 equipment with a level 85 to make my 60 easier to play. I can't "hand me down" to give each character optimal gear. I play this way to make the game last years. It will be summer before I get the whole lot of them to maps. Two of the characters are in act I Merciless, and the other five are in act III cruel. Another rule I self impose is "bind on use". No item is shared between the characters. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on Dec 7, 2013, 12:11:13 PM

" You didnt have to defend the reasons why your chars are the lvls they are. Lvl at your own pace i do the same. |

Makes sense... I try (or tried) do do the same with most of my characters for a while to keep gems useable across them all. I'm still curious about the progression in HC though. I know 60 wold be around early Merci act 3 in Domination, at least for me. No idea about HC though.
Edit: Just saw where you mentioned it. Act 1 makes sense. " You have a funny definition of elitism. Pretty much anyone can level to 80, which would make that standard about the worst measuring stick for "elite" ever. Please point out where I trashed his opinion. But it is relevant. Without trading, you don't hit a wall gear-wise (or at least I didn't) until the mid-70's and mid to late Act 3. But that's in Domination so I of course have much more leeway than a HC player. Which is why I asked about HC progression. Might want to look into getting your panties out of a wad. Last edited by CassCE#6814 on Dec 7, 2013, 12:23:07 PM

Don't worry about Dirk... he's just trying to stir things up. Asking another person about their playstyle isn't condemning their opinion. I do tend to overlevel... to a great degree. This is because I don't really want to level the character up again and due to the fact that I like playing the game. It's not a "chore" I'm doing to earn the right to do maps.

Hell if I played HC I'd be over leveling like crazy, too. It's kind of SOP over there I think.
Anyway best of luck to you but I think you'll hit a wall. Of course if it's not until summer time when you get there then you'll have gotten plenty of entertainment before then. |

Yep... there are definitely walls. Act II cruel was tough for most of my characters. I fully expect that there will be an insurmountable wall that none of my characters can progress through at some point well before the end of act III. I'm hoping that it's in the 70-75 range.
