Remove MF completely from game
I guess like most player I don't like to know I will have bad loots because my MF is bad but I think MF is a good thing because it gives you choices. It's like the restrain inventory, spell bar slots, gem slots, build tree. You have to think about it and make choices. You can decide to start to look for IIR IIQ pieces. Then when you connect decide you want to chill put you MF gear and go farm some lower zone. You can decide to start to look for new spell that does more aoe kills and link IIQ IIR gems to it. MF is actually a whole new game in itself. So if you remove MF you remove choices and that's bad.

" Well, the choice then is to play dual sporker because that's like the only way to play IIR IIQ without having good equip. Or at least the optimal way. You CAN play with less IIR IIQ with any build, but people tend to like the optimal things. That's why like every third player out there nowadays goes for a dual sporker. I agree with the OP btw. MF in diablo 2 wasn't as powerful imo, and even there i didnt really like it that sorcs were completely superior in farming items. Last edited by TheError#6547 on Jul 3, 2013, 11:20:48 AM

"What you wrote here is completely correct. But can you name us the other option? Everyone supporting Magic Find gives arguments only how it is great to have Magic Find. What other option is that you talk about? Play the game with no loot? |

" The crafting system is besides the point so I don't know what that quote proved at all. Orbs are much more valuable to trade than to craft with whats that have to do with this topic? You read into that other quote far too much. I want to play any of my characters without feeling like I'm missing out a ton. I never ever said this.. "Of course, you wish to see THE SAME DROPS for people with 0 MF" Thats what you wish me to be saying but I never did. I don't like Magic Find being as important as it is to getting loot. My focus is not on the loot itself but on magic find. Ya I preferred a rebalance originally but now I'm a little tired of people like you claming that I have a hidden agenda to get free items. So now all I am advocating is for magic find to be removed or nerfed (With NO rebalance of drops) because MF makes the game feel worse to me. Thats my opinion and people like you need to get over it. the difference between the lone wolf with 0% mf and a full grp with MF zombie onboard is too much³. just balance it and stop punishing playing solo.

The problem is just like D3. You get lots of rare items and they are all trash. I haven't actually found an upgrade for maybe 15 levels or so. I'm lvl 87. That's a lot of play time, and I don't even have great gear. It wouldn't be bad if there was a legit trading system with an AH to attempt to sell mid-tier items. As it stands, we get drop rates that are basically tuned around an AH without the AH. Rates are nothing more than vendor fodder 99.99% of the time. I wouldn't even pick them up if I weren't so poor.
I just want to be able to roll my maps without going broke. I really don't even care about MF or loot at this point. I would be fine NEVER getting another rare/unique item if I could just roll my maps for free. |

What I find hilarious is that people are so addicted to their MF. Its like crack to them. Talk about taking it away and MF players talk about how stupid an idea it is and that its just an option. If its just an option then how about the option of it not being in the system at all and you have to farm gear/currency like everyone else? To many people are afraid or addicted to give it up. It absolutely scares you to have to try and play a game where you are not guaranteed tons of loot and currency and have see how broken the system actually is.

I approve of the last 4 messages, as this was not only me "spamming" up the topic.

I never thought I'd say it but I AGREE with getting rid of Magic Find all together. It really does hinder a lot of other players wanting to build their character strong and not have to lose a mod to Magic Find.
I think It'd be a lot more exciting if they could implement a boost of Magic Find in another way besides on normal gear. Maybe adding something to Maps? |

I'm ambivalent about it.
I find it frustrating, but I play the game primarily solo. I'm not rolling in tons of Uniques, I'm not rolling in tons of orbs. But I play. I exist. I have a 74 Summomer in Default with no MF, and I have a mid 40's Freeze pulse and a 50 Frenzy Ranger in Anarchy. Personally, I'd like them to take a look at the passive tree before we get to MF. I feel like the witch and the templar areas are just better designed than shadow and ranger. The Marauder isn't terrible, but it was the first char I played, so I wont try to understand it too much, and I've yet to play a duelist past level 10. I just cant seem to come up with an interesting build for a duelist. |
