Remove MF completely from game

"Hold the phone here. So I have enough defenses to deal with the monsters just fine. They don't kill me, at all. BUT Now because I kill me, my defenses are shit?!? Your standard is based entirely on the reflected-damage metagame. In a sane world, my defenses would not be shit. They'd be adequate. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. " Possible/impossible are absolutes. Probable/improbable are variables. I got you to change your argument from an absolute to a farce ("nearly impossible"). In debating, we consider that a win, as every speck of dirt has fallen from under your feet. Enjoy the fall. Last edited by Herpy_Derpleson#6025 on Jun 27, 2013, 7:01:23 AM

" And ? Please, please, please, don't kill that game like people did with so many game "I can only play a couple a hours a day, don't give any advantage to people playing 12h a day". " Simple fact : the top players on the current Onslaught were in the top in HC/SC. Whe the league started, RMT was impossible (nothing to sell) and even after a few days, what could they do with the currencies if nobody is high enough to get the good pieces. But the trick is simple : -Play a lot -Play smart -Play in group |

" Correct since you have to consider your own strength as well and make sure to survive it. I really cant see how thats a bad mechanic. To me it looks like people are mad they cant go fullout glasscanon and 1 shot every mob in existence (but only 99% of them) without having to care about their own defense. If you can die to X your defense is shit regarding X, easy as that. If you die to cold damage while having 30% resists your defense regarding cold damage is shit. If you die to reflect because you didnt make sure that you are able to withstand your own damage your builds defense simply wasnt good enough. Its the exact same thing, its just less intuitive. Or you could just skip the pack. |

" Are you seriously suggesting that the game should only be interested in players who play 12 hours a day or exploit/RMT?? I certainly hope thats not how the devs think and I find it disturbing thats what your suggesting. You know some people literally CAN'T invest more time into the game. We all aren't kids who have nothing at all better to do. Don't you think the game should feel fun to everyone and not just no lifers? Standard Forever

" I don't care at all what advantages the rich no lifers have. They are already rich so what. I just care that the game feels fun to anyone who plays it and invests their time and efforts. I personally feel that magic find the way that its currently balanced works against that goal. Standard Forever

" You avoided the main point of your own shitty post while focusing on a single word. Maybe I just misworded my sentence? Never came to your mind that not everybody on this forum in a native english speaker did it? If you ask me, it is impossible to one shot yourself with Vaals Pact while using multiple projectiles. Then again, I never specified how much ES you need. When I say that its nearly impossible to one shot yourself I am taking people like yourself into consideration, people who would run around with maxed resistances but 2000ES. In that case you might still be able to die, depending how big your hits are. It is impossible when running end game gear though (which is only taking into consideration the builds I know since I have no idea if you can actually hit for 150000 and really cant be bothered trying to find out), but thats not what you were assuming anyway since you seem to think Vaals Pact is a mid game node. |

"Yes, I'm mad I can't go glass cannon! If I have no trouble surviving everything but this, why not? Don't say "it presents a unique challenge." Kole presents a unique challenge. But Kole doesn't blend in with normal mobs so he can insta-gib you with a passive ability. No one plays around the reflected damage mod; everyone builds around it. Yet you still say you can't see how it's a bad mechanic, when its sole function is to limit build diversity. Does chopping glass cannons out of the number of viable builds solve any systemic problem? Is glass cannon threatening OP? I think it's very clear that, in Hardcore, this couldn't be further from the truth. So why the hate? What we have instead is Path of When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. " You want quick and easy money in Hardcore? Play Dual Spork and go grind docks. You want quick and easy money in Softcore? Who cares just play whatever. What youre asking for is that the devs remove all the effort so you can collect the items without having to invest anything. If a person invests more time he deserves it to get more, and if you cant be bothered to play a build that is focused in IIR/IIQ youre in no position to whine about how unfair the mechanic is. If the game was only interesting to people who play 12+ hours a day there would probably be a playerbase of 100. Look around, how many people do you think play this game? Pretty sure its more than that. So its current state is far from not appealing to people like yourself. What needs to be fixed is how Wondertraps work, not giving every player more items. You cant invest more time then put up with having to play something you dislike if you want a shit ton of currency or simply use your time more efficiently. To make compromises is what life is about, why remove it from games? Because you dislike it? Last edited by nynyny#3398 on Jun 27, 2013, 7:30:16 AM
