PoE Performance Issues still present. Need a word harsher than abysmal.
" I'm happy to hear that my information was helpful. I just want these performance issues to be solved/improved as soon as possible and I personally think that they should now prioritize on improving their game/engine rather than making more content. I'd rather play at a constant 120 FPS rather than having more items/quests in the game and it's probably a good time to start working on this because of the release of patch 11.0. It's very frustrating to play a game with pretty high-range specs and get only mediocre performances out of your game, GGG. Last edited by JimmehCake#4959 on Jun 6, 2013, 11:11:01 AM

I have a amd phenom II x4 @ 3.8ghz and my gfx card is a amd 5750 and I run 60 fps no problem with vsync on. If I watch the fps graph I do see a dip every now and then when many monsters explode on the screen but if I wasn't watching the graph I would never know it dipped down. This is on a ranger spamming poison arrow and some freezing arrow skill.
I've only had crazy performance loss once but it was due to the client hitting 2gb memory usage I think. At that point my framerate was going up and down very very fast and everything was slowed down. However that has only happened once since I have played this game(tail end of closed beta). |

I know this will sound silly perhaps, but I was suggested from another user to simply re-download and re-install the game, and update my ATI graphic card to the 13.4 drivers... And voila'... the usual drops I had, mostly with all lightning spells, summons, corpse explosions are all gone, I can party once again.
Maybe my suggestion can work for a few others too, it might have something to do with the over-fragmented pack file on the poe folder with dozens of updates on top of more updates. I think I am having this issue as well. I run gtx 580 and have tried pretty much every possible solution offered and sill get things like this:
Spoiler
![]() I think I have it slightly better than some of you, though it is still pretty irritating and after uninstalling and re-installing it actually appears to have gotten worse. edit: Nevermind. My problem is NOT chat related. I was testing on my dual spork templar when I had all the fps issues. I hopped on my mara and ran docks and my fps was ALMOST flawlessly stable the entire time. Something is causing fps problems for me, but I think it is related to specifically to my templar. DISCLAIMER! " Those are some miserable drops in performance. Bet you feel bad about being a supporter now, don't you? |

" Not even close :) I support the team, as well as the game. It may not be perfect, but I like what I see so far. Though I am rather upset about 0.11.0 -_- DISCLAIMER! I've had no issues with POE so far. I just got to Act 3 however, and the sewers are killing my experience. This one monster in particular does this lightning like tornado skill (dont know the name ^^) and I go from 70 fps to 0, then back up until he casts it again. I'm not running a powerhouse of a laptop, but it plays most other games fine. I'll take a screenshot of the monster and my fps in a bit.

" That monster is called "Grapler" and it killed my friend's HC character two times so far (not him, but the silly FPS spike it causes) GGG - at least fix performance of such particularly widespread occurrences |
