PoE Performance Issues still present. Need a word harsher than abysmal.

i think this might have to do with the spell effects not being preloaded, they might be working on it.

" We have already confirmed that spikes occur even after spell effect loading. Did you even read this thread? |

Still the same issues after the patch and even worse desync.
I went on docks with my flicker strike, my char jumped to the nearest mob pack, 5 sec freeze, 0 fps and boom i'm dead. |
|
Seems like the Desync is even worse ... Great Patch though !!

" How is it a great patch if it has made things WORSE? I've been through the patch, and there is no sign of any attempts to reduce or fix the two issues regarding spiking and text rendering. GREAT patch indeed. |

Please fix the fps issue GGG!

" Was being a bit sarcastic ...but yea this patch was really good even though they didn't fix the desync. Now i can't log in without the game crashing and getting errors. The Enemies Health Bars look good though on a bright note! |

Yesterday, prior the patch, we have been practicing group play with my friends - we have ALL died to a huuuuge FPS spike that occured to everyone at the same time. I think THAT is very strange. (There was this rare mob with exploding head - Grapler I think it is called)
I get it, it was easy to get rid of me by saying "your PC is too low", but my fried has a really powerful machine and he died in the same FPS spike as well. GGG - this is my final plea, get to performance tuning ALREADY or you are going to loose us for good. What is more content worth to us, when we are unable to play even the present one? I cannot understand why dont we have at least more options to tune things down (and very aggresive ones would be best - turn off particles to test if that makes trouble, turn off ALL player projectiles would be even better). Please, this is not a common moaning, this is a desperate cry of a gamer in love with this game, but unable to play it properly. |

I'm kind of glad to see that I'm not the only one with this problem, but sad because it's still here since I started playing.
I'm running: GPU: Sapphire HD 7950 CPU: Phenom II 1090T @3,9 GHz RAM: Corsair 8GB 1600 MHz I can confirm that I also get huge drops of FPS having allchat on, but not only allchat but with everything that shows text in this game, such as character stats, boss monsters that have lots of buffs/aura's and even GGG giving a notice of a starting league, which drops me down to about ~20 fps. In a semi-crowded town I run at 60-80 FPS which is sad because I have a 120Hz monitor and while out in instances I run at about 40-60 FPS. Vsync seems to lock FPS to 60 rather than your monitor refresh rate. I hope that GGG will focus on performance rather than items/content for a bit because I and many others should be able to run this game at a stable 120-125 FPS constantly. (It's especially painful when you're running a 120Hz monitor when you're playing at 20 - 80 FPS!) EDIT: I'd also like to point out that my FPS drops when I alt-tabbed untill I zone out, like someone else mentioned. I know alt-tabbing is generally not good for any game but it would be amazing if GGG could also somehow fix this. I'd run the game in borderless windowed mode to prevent this but this crushes your performance. Last edited by JimmehCake#4959 on Jun 6, 2013, 4:56:28 AM
