No respec options? No thanks.

I really dont want cheap respec! but we do need confirm button to avoid wasted points by missclicks.

I just have to point out that I don't think this game is about "end-game" in which case respeccing would be a valid gamemechanic.

Again, that's what I think.

Well, you are wrong. It's about endgame as much as every other mmo.

And where is this a MMO?
Enlighten me, please!

A persistant online world with thousands of players playing at the same time.

You do realise that even the devs have said that the only reason they don't market it as an MMO is becuase the term is so closely associated with WoW-clones, and not because it isn't an MMO, right?

The gameplay itself is not designed as a MMO. In MMO you need a party to be able to complete the game, here you dont, you can solo everything. Thats why I think people don't think of this like a MMO when it comes to gameplay.

About respect no need to change anything, only increase the number you get from quests and problem fixed. The game should not have a full free respect. It allows a few free respect points, and if you want to respect the whole build, than you need to pay for it, or start a new one.

You do realise that MMO stands for MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE, right?

The term is refering to an OPEN world with thousands of people, not instanced hubs where 100 people fit in at a time. Where in this game is a "zone" available to thousands of players in direct contact with eachother without grouping? No where, that's where.

A MMO is defined by the open-ness of the game. This game is an Action Roleplaying Game with multiplayer support. There's quite the diffrence. Go read up before stating something that has no truth.

Go easy on the OP, he has a valid concern.
There are hardcore gamers and there are casual gamers and perhaps some in between.

Casual gamers do not have time nor interest in putting in the time commitment required to have that ideal build. That doesn't mean they should be shunned, or that they don't want to have some fun.
After all, I'd wager that the majority of gamers fall into the casual category. Yes, that doesn't bode well for hardcore serious players of PoE, but we're all different.

How to please both parties?
Perhaps when you create a character, have the option of unlimited re specs or limited (current system), chose what you prefer.
It would be up to you if you want the easy street (casual) or more realistic (hardcore).
Players could-should be kept separate when it comes to PvP/PvE.

No you are wrong. Being fully instanced has nothing to do with if it's an MMO or not. That is just something you are making up.

Prime example: Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Instanced just as PoE, and yet only a fool would say that it isn't an MMO.

So take your own advice, go read up before stating something that has no truth.
The topic is about respecs, not the definition of "MMO."
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.
First in the credits!

No, your wrong. =)

About respect, maybe have 1 total free respect for every character that you can use only 1 time per character
