The new portal system is a good compromise
In regards of overcomming obstacles with knowledge poe is one of the most difficult games out there. I do not want to downplay that. I have great respect for the people that figure out all the meta. I just scratch at that part and just am happy about myself from time to time to find something that works. Mostly it is that I found myself in a spot thinking like how even. Now the map closed with the pack that just killed me, I do not even know why and now I cant go look what are the modifiers that killed me. So basically I have to go third party and search what kills me. If you decide to go off meta, you most likely wont find anything that helps you.

A good compromise would be giving people 2 or 3 attempts at any map. This only applies to maps that aren't even worth doing. It basically amounts to nothing.

Okay if poe 2 is not a hard game then you shouldn't die. And if you are not dying then you shouldn't need 6 portals. If the game is not hard then you should not die.
But the cope is oh it's just a time sink. It doesn't rely on twitch based gameplay for it's difficulty. The difficulty is the decisions you make at level 20. The gear you decide to put on. And if you are dying on t15 maps you made a mistake. Thats where the difficulty lies. Stop blaming the game and demanding instant gratification of the rewards and fix your frickin build. | |
I'm not trying to change the game. You are. The devs made it this way because they wanted deaths to have weight. I agree with those devs so I decided to play this game.
However you don't like this and are demanding the devs change their vision of their game to suit your playstyle. No. You go play something else and leave us alone. |
