On my part I'm on the fence about the new patch.

On the bad side:

First they seem to have done nothing for defense layer like armor and life.

They seem to not care at all about trading friction as they mention nothing about it.

The new crafting they added is still layer of rng. And even if they said that they wanted to make ground loot worthile they didn't adress any issue with weighting stat nor any way to upgrade the of tier stat. Meaning that trash loot on ground is still trash

The portal thing is considered no change at all for high tier farming since we know people will only play on juiced map so 1 death is still 1 death

No way to gain more Xp to counterbalance Xp loss issue.

No new act, only 1 class, and few ascendencies.

More omen and essence is great. But only 2.5x more? Too low bonus

Didn't seem to have change anything to ease the atlas progression for mechanic.

On the good side:

More uniques (Altought I don't get my hype up on that. Most of them will still be only for collecting purpose)

More support gems. Yeaaah but how many of them will still be relevant?

1 class and several ascendencies is better than nothing. Some seem fun to try

Tormented spirit poe 1 mechanic is reworked as will o wisp thing. Seem interesting but at the same time it feel just like reworked mechanic. Nothing really new.

Corruption into cleanse state. That one seem interesting to play.

Less tower, more range, more tablet in them. I'd say that's a good thing.

Roah mount is lol (in both bad and good ways)

Spectres seem a fun mechanic.

Rogue exiles is interesting (altought like tormented spirit, just a reworked mechanic)


So yea. I wasn't hype about the interview as I was sure they wouldn't deliver much. I guess I was right. Some fun thing to test and see but overall I was expecting them to work more on the core problems.

I was hoping to see them slow down the combat to be more like the campaign in the maps but it's looking to still be like poe1 spamming the same shit, that saddens me.
Excited for huntress and a rebalance of underperforming things.

I liked seeing some of the upcoming changes. We need some much bigger updates before a full release. We need a better gameplay loop for reaching level 100. I'm just lurking now until I think the game has cooked enough.

No, it’s all included. I was just questioning him on how be thinks 0.2 is worth as much as a full game cost.
-still cant run the maps i want with the content i want as often i want
-still 1 portal all content gone on single death(t16s 6 mod)
-now its even worse in 6-mod t16's with 1 portal base, cannot even leave the map for getting out loot or trading
-even more crafting gamble with recombinator, there wasnt quite enough gambling
-map layouts still suck
-still rare hunting for completion
-still no change to life scaling
-still locked movement on melee skills
-armour still sucks

at least there are less towers, should just remove them completely. huntress gameplay looks like monk while holding the staff(speer) a lil different. dont know why they focus on melee/ranged combo's for huntress, nobody is playing it melee anyway. i dont know, feels like they dont read feedback and still dont play their own game. disappointing, will skip until they finally change some things that matter.

people will play for 1 week until they notice endgame still sucks.

1 class and some support gems?....I think you missed the rest of the presentation, there's way more than just 1 class and some support gems. XD

And in other games its also just 1 class and not even 100 new uniques or build defnining support gems....just compare 0.2.0 with the latest Diablo 4 Expansion f.e.. ;)

This is because normal games release fully at once, and not in pieces dragged throughout a year or more like POE2.

Ye but the "pieces" in POE2 are way bigger than full expansion release of normal games like D4...that's what I say here.

And normal games charge $70 every time for expansions as big as a normal league patches in POE. ;)
