What do you think of the new 0.2 patch?
with 0.2 it is becoming more clear that PoE 2 is just becoming a reskinned PoE 1
- same pace - same visual vomit - same mindless endgame grind - same RNG fest "crafting" - same ranged OP / melee trash discourse everyone wanted to know why Chris left the company, and why they didn't paid him a tribute... you got your answser |

I am a recent player coming from playing D2 for a hundred years. Been playing PoE2 for the first time past 40 days. I am a laid back, casual player and always preferred to play solo in all my games so I have been playing SSF with no trading. I really enjoyed the Campaign which was a blast to play through but despised EngGame at how ruthless and pointless it felt to me. Its a storyless grind to elevate yourself and nothing more. Just feels very mindless. What I truly wished to have is more difficulty levels of Campaign. At least 4 difficulty levels. After Cruel difficulty just offer the players the option to either continue Campaign or hop on over to EndGame. If not the option, then they need to drastically tone down the XP loss to 2% imo to make it somewhat enjoyable. Its a shame that they seem to refuse to read the complaints of the many that payed to play their 'free' early access PoE2. They need to understand that not everyone is a hardcore elite player and just wants to enjoy the game.
I just can not wait for the other 3 Acts to arrive. Endgame just feels like a mindless, boring chore, obstacle course imo. |

" Flawed core design. Everything is designed around explosions. Probably because of # of monsters their speed and primitive "always rush and attack" AI. The only option to fight them is to explode. If you are melee - you still explode. Even new spear class is again all about explosions. " and D2 so far is the best arpg in history in how combat flow feels. In this game you don't explode. Even AOE skills are designed that way that they can be ineffective and can miss (orb, blizzard, fissure, vulcano, hammers, lightning fury, multishot) which is super clever. Only braindead AOE skills like nova/frost nova that always hit and cover all affected area require insane gear to be effective. The less braindead AOE game has, the more interesting combat becomes. There is still an XP penalty. I will not reinstall the game. POE2 = POE1. Old.

Kind of meh to be honest. Lots of support gems and uniques being added, but how many are actually good and how many are going to be bloat? One new class and a couple new ascendencies are added, but there should have been more to try along with another act at least. It looks like they put all of their effort into endgame on this one which isn't something I like to grind at for weeks on end.
And without full patch notes we don't even know what is getting nerfed and what is getting buffed. Until I see what the full scope of changes is I am withholding my opinion. |

One word: Amazing!
Even if I'm used to the sheer huge content updates for POE every league I'm still amazed every time about the amount they deliver with every league patch. This is so much content, other companies would surely charge $70 only fo half of the content and call it a AAA Expansion. ;) |

very disappointing if im honest.. . none of the big issues have been pointed out or changed .. yes we got classes yes some skills.. . but the stuff that actually made the game unfun. are still as they were unfun!
1: Huge and awful maps with awful layouts that are not fun to run and no one enjoy are still the same... its still the design .. both in campain and mapping. 2: Atlass tree is still even after the "buffs" very underwhelming still offer very little control over the content you want to run and how you want to play.. small and meaningful tree.. (they should just import poe 1 atlass tree) 3: leagues specific tree (if you can even call it a tree ) more like leagues class are still awfully bad offering no choice no control really bad and boring design. . and on top of that you still need to waste boss invetation that value in price to unlock them.. just bad. 4: Rarity still in the game.. still affect currency drop and still gonna feel mandatory to use.. . 5: nothing mentioned about the base loot values without rarity that is feeling so underwhelming so unrewarding for your time.. so yes they did do some nice stuff classes looks cool but the core issues and the real reasons the game was not very fun for me.. remained the same. ill probably skip 0.2 and revisit poe 2 later i think poe 2 needs few more years to be good. |

-I like that they improve old endgame mechanics (corruption, strong boxes, adding stuff like whisps to normal maps etc.) -I like that they seem to add a lot of bosses and exciting looking unique maps -I'm still concerned that the gameplay becomes boring ones the character becomes overpowered |
