What do you think of the new 0.2 patch?

It's a move in the wrong direction and basically a slap in the face to the complaints involving death penalty. Very little time in the endgame is spent on common maps.

They completely ruined maps that players spend the most time on. They completely ruined an already bad trade system and loot find with this decision.

Have fun sitting in your hideout waiting 10-20 minutes for a trade or wasting more time on the trade site whispering players.

You can have as many complaints about the game as you like. It's my opinion that GGG are taking into account what players want while trying to stay relatively true to their original design intent. Feel free to vent. It's not going to change my opinion.

Your opinion is irrelevant. Facts are that GGG has never actually listened to it's player base. Oh well. I'll wait till 0.3.0.

What I think? 0.2.0 is not changing anything that really needs changing. We're going to see the same ranged builds dominating the gameplay and the cat zoomies endgame with new maps.

You do realize there are going to be nerfs coming right? That will be in the patch notes. So no, not the same zoom zoom builds.

Yes. And none of the nerfs apply to how the monsters spawn on endgame maps. So Cat Zoomies continue unabated.
In general I'm happy with the coming update.

League mechanic looks alright. I'm pretty excited for rogue exiles, I think they will add flavor to mapping. Recombinators will be very useful in SSF. There are many new ways to rip so that's refreshing to see for HC.

There's so much potential with the new atlas system and they've only begun to explore the possibilities of what they can do with it.

Looking forward to patch notes! I'm definitely playing Warrior (as always) and Huntress.

PS I think Trials of Chaos needs to be harder. It needs more mob density in general.
am i delusional to think there's no way they release the one portal on juiced map without the possibility of porting in and out for trade or loot banking ? I mean this would make no sense at all.
edit: just notice the latest annoucement: "You will now be able to enter and exit your Maps as much as you like as long as you haven't died." so we're fine :)

I'm excited for the changes that are coming, enough that I'm definitely going to give it a go.

Bummed we didn't get Druid though. I was so sure he was coming, since they've showcased both Huntress and Druid before, and stated before launch that they were both almost ready but held back from launch to be given some more time to cook.

Like, if they haven't even finished Druid at this point, what about the other classes that they haven't even showcased before? The next update is going to need a way bigger amount of content if there's going to be any hope of 1.0 any time soon.

No opinion is irrelevant. Not even the one you just pulled out of your bunghole and labeled "facts".
kinda meh, the new support gems, class etc is cool and stuff. But if endgame is going to turn into the same thing as in 0.1 (no meaningful combat at all) I'm not really interested.

And they haven't said anything specifically about that in the reveal. So will wait for the patchnotes, but I don't have high hopes.

They just made this update and said you can tp in and out as much as you want for loot and trade. So the 1 portal = 1 death.
I'm happy to see new classes, ascendancies and mechanics.

However my main problem with the game was the endgame combat/gameplay, it was all about kill first or be killed, so if you weren't strong enough it just wasn't fun to play in my opinion. Inserting difficulty in the form of one shotting you and forcing you to play broken builds is not very fun for me.

So unless they fixed the balance then I'm just gonna tune in to try all the new stuff and just ignore endgame once I get there and move on to Last Epoch new season.

I mean, they literally just said that they will be nerfing a lot of shit so that end game combat feels better and bosses can use skills. They also said that with new update, people will find insanely broken builds for sure but also expect those builds to be butchered actively.

People here comparing everything to 4 months long 0.1.0 that had no balance patch or anything that is meaningful during this time. That's because devs were on holiday for a month and they didn't want to ruin everything and instead prepare for 0.2.0. That said, 0.2.0 will be getting patches actively for a long time, expect better quality than 0.1.0 during the dawn of the hunt league.
