You guys know Beta testers like to see you working, right?

Yes but im dying to unnecessary oneshots and mechanics with too much damage, right now.
Its like politicians saying; the economy will be fixed but it just takes time, while people cant buy food right now.
Things making game frustrating should be fixed asap imo (ranged classes dont REEEE its a melee thing)
you must have never worked in game development. this is fantastic GGG communicates much more than my actual clients.

It is a mistake to continue this way.

Clearly, this isn't what's happening. What "balance" do you see in our current implementation? GGG Needs to take a more active role in tuning the game. Balance in particular has been grossly neglected.

First off, Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has a well-established pattern when it comes to how they handle updates. Sadly, it's not even really true for their full release game.

Heist was drastically changed mid league.Sanctum was also changed a notable amount.Ultimatum had game breaking bugs they banned players over and Necropolis was an even bigger mess.

This is not a released game though. When PoE1 was in beta they made fairly consistent changes that had nothing to do with leagues. You can look back to older versions If you'd like to verify. Most Major version updates were at most one month apart with 4-5 build updates between.

I generally work in groups of 4-20. I find it best for getting work done. I've generally been the executive role since I can do a little of everything required to make games. I can jump to any station and help someone catch up or directly show them a concept and let them finish it.

I also reply to players constantly. Far more than I probably should but I want to help them enjoy the things I made. My next project will probably be more simple. A side-story mod for BG3 involving mocap. I'm collecting the voice actors now. I can handle the coding on my own.

I wouldn't mind another 3D model artist to help out though.

Over the past 6 years I got back into making games and mods for games. There's a lot of my early work still floating around but I don't expect most to know it. Two MUDs called GemStone and The Dead of Night. A Diablo 1 mod called The Dark, Rune Quake.

The last patch dropped 7 (seven) work days ago and since then there were also minor hotfix patches...

Personally I think there's a lot of problems with the game, and after 300h played I just don't log in anymore. I know changes are coming, devs are working and we'll see all their efforts soon enough.

However I just don't understand how people can say, after such a short time, that the devs are delaying changes, working slowly and not communicating. Seven work days of silence in the gaming industry really should not challenge anyones patience. [Removed by Support]

If you're one of the people who can't stand it and is furious for not having a post since 16th Jan, maybe consider [Removed by Support] It's really not good for your health to be stressed out and negative like that, for such minute reason. Just a friendly advice.

Programming this stuff takes time you can’t just bash it out in an afternoon and call it done.

Balancing the numbers takes literally few minutes. Sure, you need some time to figure out what and how you want to balance but changing the values is a few minutes work. Source: I work in IT for over 15 years and I've been doing programming since 1996.

making games for fun with so few people is bit different than working in/for a studio of decent size, let me tell you that i am really happy if i get at least a small rundown of what changed in a updated build with any of the AAA studios i ever worked with (i work as FQA, LQA and CQA).

On top of this, they have conducted a major community interview and podcast and provided a MAJOR improvements patch.

Go easy on the OP, he was obviously joking.

The joke here is the sarcasm in your answer.
Sure, I see a lot of patches, but the game still have the same problems and it is getting worse everyday. If they patched that frequently and the game is still having those problems, that means the aren't patching what players want but rather what they think players want, which is not a good sign from a developer that sold a beta with an early access tittle.

if this game had been released by Blizzard, the criticism and backlash would rival No Man's Sky. instead, GGG has a small army that will defend anthing and everything they do and curtail public perception.

pretty much this.

this game is EA for god's sake. you(the developers) can't just treat it as a regular season. there are supposed to be constant balance changes + content updates. "but muh economy" - nobody other than minority elitists give a damn about the economy. it's already a mess. we all signed up knowing this is EA not a regular season. 1 div is almost 300 ex right now and it keeps raising. yeah good balanced economy you got there.

the hype is already dead along with broken promises.
