An artificial benchmark is always going to full load up a CPU at max clockspeed, its what its designed to do.

I would try turning off speed step in the bios to force the highest turbo clock. I think there's an Intel desktop app that will do the same, can't remember it's name.

Your average effective clock of 500Mhz seems low tbh, are you running some kind of undervolt or power saving mode stuff or is speedstep just literally clocking it that low? Seems weird.

You are looking at the average, I did not reset, max and current is at almost 4Ghz(which is the max for the CPU).

Probably yes. And you are skipping a lot of details or not pondering on it, I get this abysmal performance only in certain locations, and almost always in town. At other locations I am limited by the GPU(99%), CPU stays at around 70%, FPS: ~105.

I wonder if they ever gonna reply or do anything about it lol. Having same problems

3070 ti and top of the line i9 both with WATERCOOLING.

Every other game is fine benchmarks etc, this games running so much resources its actually dangerous, hope you guys got marshmellows.

My fans do ramp up, at least when I unlock FPS, but not to the max and it's not the only game that does that. Some just seem to have the habbit of running your system at a higher performance.
The same happens in Overwatch.


If your system overheats, that means your cooling already maxed out, right? Where are your temp limiters? Did you disable them? Maybe your cooling is lacking? Water cooling isn't automatically better than air cooling, it can even be worse, especially when it's cheap and/or set up poorly.

Yeah, Utzaal, Aggorat from Act 3, Utzaal is specially notorious, it being one of the more difficult zones doesn't help. There are more off-course, but I didn't note them down.

Yeah, Utzaal, Aggorat from Act 3, Utzaal is specially notorious, it being one of the more difficult zones doesn't help. There are more off-course, but I didn't note them down.

i'm expeinecing exact same symptoms. i assumed its my old rig not coping with w/e its there, but you are right, GPU (gtx970 @2k) drops to 60% and CPU around 50%max.
