PoE 2 is cooking GPUs and CPUs Actually Dangerous to PC.

Enable Vsync.. problem solved. You do not need super high FPS for an ARPG

Not a funny joke, vsync has nothing to do with fixing low fps or performance issues.

edit: do you have a tech support thread for this? i don't think this thread is the place to discuss it

There are many such threads here, I have already posted mine a while ago, but it got buried.

i think this septic tank of a section wont be much use for such technical issues, i could find similar thread in Tech support section but it wasn't exactly what we are describing. since you have more evidence, would you please start a thread in:

eddit: or bug reporting?:

i will add my info after

3080 Extreme, i5-13400, I have fps limiter set to 100 fps and undervolting for GPU on 1700Mhz threshold max. (3080 Extreme can go even for 2100Mhz).

and its going max 55 C degrees and this 1700Mhz is all the time - this means that PoE2 demands GPU to be at max performance all the time.

I have turned off all max settings in nvida panel - because - for example - if you turn on "best performance" "reflex" etc options in nvidia or game panel - card will be pushed to the max - even if doesn't have to. Many ppl do not understand how it works. It's always max, because you "insist" by this option best performance for your card, so card is in max ready mode. Understanding that is very important during undervolting and making system optimal for energy consumption and cpu/gpu survivability. Many "streamer and youtubers" advice is to turn on reflex and performance in nvidia menu - to have best visual experience -but its wrong if you care about your temperatures and stress. The only exception I do is for FPShooters when I want max performance to keep 165 fps for my monitor.

Btw: I would like to pay money - really - pay money for not to see ppl mtx shit in towns. I use invisibility dyes on auras skills - because games are too beautiful - PoE1 and PoE2 to make this looking bad with mtxs. Mtxs cracing the vibe.

that could be result of buying an expensive cpu/gpu and using cheap cooler or case! these cards requite a lot of investment!
asus 4070ti and 11700k. 1440p capped framerate to 120fps.

ive got my cpu topped out at 70 degrees and gpu 76

though it probably was only hitting those temps for a second or two. most of the time the gpu stays in high 60's and the cpu stays in low 60's, like it will for all of my other games.

even though there's nothing dangerous aboout those temps, this game has already made my hardware hit temperatures i've never seen before throughout any game i've ever played, and i haven't quite hit mapping. i hope it doesn't get worse. i don't want to see what those summer temps would look like.

not only are they swinging the nerf bat all around, but theres serious performance issues. Check your temps and tell me its not turning into a straight up turkey roaster in maps.

3070 ti and top of the line i9 both with WATERCOOLING.

Every other game is fine benchmarks etc, this games running so much resources its actually dangerous, hope you guys got marshmellows.

Turn global illumination off, and just have shadows, and turn those down to recommended level (low). That has mostly resolved my performance issue.

No, its not. Thats not at all how it works. You demonstrably dont know what you're talking about.

Hardware has safety thresholds to protect itself. If anything is "fried" your hardware has failed, be it cooling or the units themselves. This is a you issue my man.

13900k/4070ti, max settings, 1440p, gpu might hit 65, CPU hits mid 60's. Tops.
Thank you CptBoby for the beta key!

I love all the posts where people write: "I have this blablabla hardware and I don't have any problems".

They are very useful.

When people understand that PoE 2 needs to be improved maybe PoE 3 will be released.
