PoE 2 Account Banned for no reason?

Wow yours was so fast, still waiting on mine, been about 36 hours now.

I didn't exactly know what the issue was yet so I didn't have as clean a response. Basically said I linked steam/PoE accounts no issues, played until level 38ish in sanctum zone, then was banned right when I killed the boss. Also mentioned how only one of my 2 linked accounts was banned... Hopefully I get unbanned today while I'm at work...

Can you please clarify what it means? You meant that decision after appeal is final or just that you get one appeal per account? If it is former then i kinda understand but if it is the latter then we waste our one per account appeal on a false positive ban at 38-40 which clearly seems to be bug and if another ban happens then we cant even appeal? So if another bug like that happens our account is basically bricked?

I feel obligated to update all of you, fellow players, who were also banned and participated in this thread. My account has finally been unbanned, but the process was nothing short of a disaster.

No explanation, no apology—just an automated message informing me of the unban, as generic and soulless as every other response from GGG throughout this ordeal.

I still have no idea why my account was banned in the first place. No one bothered to explain the reasoning, provide clarity, or even acknowledge the frustration this caused. The whole experience was dragged out, impersonal, and filled with canned replies that made me feel like I didn’t matter as a player or a paying customer.

This has been a bitter and disappointing experience. GGG’s player support has shown itself to be at the lowest possible standard—slow, uncommunicative, and dismissive. For a company that prides itself on its community, this was a complete failure. Players deserve better.

I will bump this thread as often as possible to support those still stuck in this absolutely absurd process and situation. My deepest sympathies go out to everyone affected—I truly hope every single one of you gets unbanned soon.

I’d like to add that I lost a vacation day due to this ban, and the entire ordeal has gone unresolved without so much as an apology or acknowledgment. I’m not expecting any compensation from GGG after everything I’ve seen here, but even a simple word of regret feels like too much to hope for at this point.
Man I'm yet another person to be randomly muted and then banned without warning or reason. 4 support emails sent without reply. The suggestion to appeal bans on your account by logging into the website is a joke as you can not log into the website when banned!!! You can't even post here without making a new account.

Whatever ai program they are using to detect bots and cheats is obviously malfunctioning. Worse is the zero information and timeline or resolution. Many of us impacted have supported the game with hundreds if not thousands of dollars dating back to closed beta of poe1.

Ggg can afford better customer support they just choose not to.

A question for my fellow innocent banees as I try to attempt to figure out why the ban occurred. Do any of you have questionable character names? It seems ggg has charged their stance on that drastically from poe1 despite having a prof filter. Question 2, were any of you using the mf charm? I'm wondering if the mf spike after boss kill is triggering the cheat detector somehow. Does anyone have any other legitimate reasons why we might have been banned???

For the record my ban was during act 2 not act 3 boss many people have reported.
What do you mean by being muted? talking about IG chat?

if it's the case i wasnt, i didnt even try to talk in chat tbh, didnt trade, didnt have a questionnable character name, didnt use third party tools, didnt cheat whatsoever.

Yes I was in general chat helping many people work bosses. Then suddenly I was muted so I came here to appeal it and ten min later I was totally banned.
It seems to be some erroneous bot behavior on gggs side of the equation to me, autobans meant for bots, cheats and gold spammmers but it's taking us normal people out. Main issue is resolution speed and we need to hold ggg accountable once they eventually address the issue. I'll say it again this is a MAJOR problem.

I feel you so much, GGG makes mistakes here and there and unfortunately we are sometimes the ones to pay that price and to worsen things its not always a pretty outcome for some of us who come to this game as a refuge for so many reasons.

I was unjustly banned multiple times one of which was during a wonderful experience with covid 19 which to this day im still recovering from the chronic conditions from those times and that unjust ban just after i purchased a support pack from them which for over 30 days i didn't get to use not to mention the experience in email during just a few hours a day of consiousness that i had pouring every last scrap of it into emails with proof of my innocence to no avail i went through the senior staff and they stopped replying only to immediately undo my ban when i posted the emails proving they didn't read them.

So yeah, When mistakes happen GGG needs to do better, I've never recieved an apology for any of those bans which stole several leagues from me.

Remorse goes a very very long way so I'm still asking GGG to at the very least apologize for that which makes your final remark read in bold for me so to speak as i've just about given up hope on that one.
