[POE 2] Loot Disappears On Death

This bug makes me not want to play until its fixed. This is not a fun mechanic.

Its fucked my boss reward like the 30 spirit and potentially can ruin the main quest if main quest item that needed from the boss.

Quest items can always be re-obtained - you should not be able to soft-lock yourself. If you didn't pick it up after killing the boss the first time, if you go and kill it again, the item will drop for you to pick up. If it does not drop, then it's a bug, and you should report it.

As has been said by others, this isn't a bug. The devs wanted to make this a more "Dark Souls"-style ARPG, and have done so by making it so that you can't just graveyard zerg bosses or elite packs. While it is unfortunate when it happens (I also got killed by the ambush on Rathbreaker, losing an exalt), it forces you to plan your fights better.

Just lost a legendary like this.
1. killed the boss - dropped legendary loot
2. boss had its adds alive
3. adds killed me
4. Ress and went to get my first legendary - no loot to be found.

Doesn't feel good at all .
lol same thing happened to me in Deshar Act 2 the two "yellow" elite birds that bounce around like their on speed. They smashed me, grenade killed them and I saw a legendary drop Rock Greaves. I respawn 2 feet away, loot was gone... *deep deep sigh*
Happened to me. Orange chainmail. REALLY wanted to see it. First legendary for me....
Whoever thought this idea up needs their head read. there is no way people are going to stand for it and theres many other games to play instead of poe2

Then the loot should drop after the last mob has fallen. That would take away a lot of frustration. But it can't stay the way it is now.

Then, why support LITERALLY tell us it's a bug and they are working on it? Don't get me wrong, I really like a more challenging gameplay that forces you to think but not in the obnoxious and frustrating way. In Souls game, items and spells are there only for making a game more complex, if not, people wouldn't make a "no leveling up, no weapon playthrough".

This is HnS, items and bulids it's what define a game. Drop it's completly randomized, just like maps, mobs etc.

The way I see it, game drops for you a lot of Orbs, so devs want us to craft items for our own. You can dischant gold/yellow items for Regal Shards.

Anyway, game feels amazing, more like shooter/slasher then ARPG, gameplay is really organic. But please, keep that cheesy mechanics for late game, big risk, big reward type of way.
This just happened to me while a rare/yellow emerald dropped. Super annoyed.
