[POE 2] Loot Disappears On Death

This just happened to me and an orange item was one of the items that went poof. It is very disappointing and is ruining the game experience.
Reset instance and do again. That's the easiest way to get a quest item again. if you're on PC, Ctrl+Left Click the entrance, and it will bring up a menu.

Lost 2 uniques due to death after loot drop. There is a concept known as the psychology of loss aversion. Having something given to you and then taken away is worse than not giving at all. It does not benefit the game developer to do this to the gamer and basically waste the gamer's time and effort. Please fix this.
An incredibly idiotic mechanic. If this is the case I'm already hesitant to try to run DOT builds if I'm going to have to quickly hurry and try to respawn to prevent loot loss.

I cound't agree with you more! - people who wants this type of playstyle have hardcore....
Still happening. Just make player immune for few seconds after boss dies until proper fix is ready.
This just happened to me in Clearfell after killing Beira on a brand new character. It feels really bad :(

shitty design indeed. i just got swarmed by a horde of enemies after i killed their boss, couldn't picked the stuff up, couldn't run or kill all of them... lost my first unique drop because od that crap design and i can't even repeat the fight for now.
I really hope GGG change this with a hotfix as soon as they are back from leave. It is incredibly infuriating to die from an after death effect or a pack of mobs that spawn after a boss and you have no life flask left, only to see an item you could really use as an upgrade. I've just started playing SSF and it is even more annoying then, as many item upgrades come from these mobs. I don't think it's a bug at all, it's intentional design and a terrible one at that.
Loot disappearing on death is ridiculous. Loot should stay especially on rares and bosses.

It basically makes you feel like you completely wasted your time since you got nothing for it.
