Absolutely disapointed -- This game is hard, and not in a fun way.
I am very surprised by the negative reviews, what are you guys smoking?
I am a D2 fanatic, even used to make builds on gamefaqs back in the day and I am in LOVE with POE2, I seriously hope they are not listening to all the shitty reviews of people that come from POE1. I suggest you guys go back to 1 if you don't enjoy 2. Anyway, the game is far from perfect, but difficulty is NOT the main issue here. I agree they need to increase rewards and responsiveness for spells/roll etc. among other things. Having a blast so I'm going back to playing the game, literally can't wait. |

Fun fact, 90% of the crybabies complaining about the difficulty will be zooming the campaign in like 2 or 3 months when people discover the best paths, builds and strats and make guides about it. And then they will say this is the greatest game of all time...
Honestly, i hate to say this, but get good or stfu, you don't deserve to beat the game, work for it if you want it, and if you don't want to, just go with the rest of dad gamers and play D4, spam 1 button and clear the whole screen with shit gear, you'll be bored in 2 days though and you'll realize difficulty is GOOD. |

also +1 on this Topic
have 4400h in PoE1 quit part 2 after 5 hours. Minions unplayable, Bosses roll fiesta and doting. Far away from fun at all. |

100% agree with OP. I'm the same kind of player with basically the same sentiments towards Poe 1 and 2.
dedadadadedoodoodoo is all i want to say to you

For me the difficulty is in a good place. What's not in a good place is loot drops and currencies that allow us a better chance to get appropriate gear. As soon as I got one piece of equipment I went from struggling to melting everything. Even bosses were easy and I didn't die until I started just screwing around.
Ultimately with some tweaking to loot I think the difficulty will sort itself out in short order. |

PoE2 = Ruthless
No loot!! No currency! No Progression! Everything feels slow... 10 min boss fights that you have to do over and over becuse 9 1/2 min is dodge dodge dodge use 1 skill dodge dodge die becuse your luck in the gear RNG lottery sucked. Had to order a new mouse after i raged smacked the old in in the desk lol Iam one of many that was hyped and got soo disappointed GGG |

Goddamn some people are condescending pricks.
I say most of those who claim how easy it is are lying through their teeth. Do you know how I know that? By listening to Zizaran, a hardcore player, a damn good one at that, saying, on stream, that the game is more difficult than he expected. He died too. Quite a bit, for him at least. And ended up playing softcore. So... yeah. Piss off. And most importantly, the main point was never about DIFFICULTY by itself. It's about pace and reward. Fighting a boss for 5 minutes is amazing if I get a piece of gear that helps me with the next 2 - 3 areas. Having to dodge a 50th white mob (well, 3 monsters) because otherwise they just kill you, is not. Last edited by dnut_00#1237 on Dec 8, 2024, 10:31:00 AM

" I keep hearing about how minions are so weak. So I put my xbow pathfinder on pause to roll a summoner witch. I absolutely decimated Act 1 boss with Skeletons. Warrior from sceptre, then Sniper + Arsonist + Frostmage. The minions revive insanely quickly and do bonkers damage. Again, I feel like people are wanting minions to simply play the game for them. How could that be fun? The minions are overtuned and incredibly powerful in my experience running Act 1. Xbow was MUCH slower to start, though I do feel very very powerful as my xbow pathfinder at level 30. People just need to realize this is not PoE1. You need to actually use your brain. |

Tha game is fun in my opinion.

If beating these difficult, tough bosses was actually rewarding and gave you some drops, it would make sense. A difficult game is fun when you feel a sense of accomplishment. I struggle to get that feeling in PoE 2, and feel like I'm always 3 steps behind.
We're at a point where RNG is so heavy, that some players drops 20 exalts before finishing act 2, while others have dropped 2. And as rare items do not drop, you NEED those exalts. In addition to that, some classes seem WAY easier than others, something certain people seem unable to understand, and screams that "the game is perfect" based on their narrow experience. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
