Absolutely disapointed -- This game is hard, and not in a fun way.

"
I can't seem to beat the Devourer on SSFHC, my minions are really brittle and I was even using the skill that makes the little minions to help kill it.

What's the secret? I was rolling all over the place. My minions die in like 5 secs, then I have to wait 7 sec for them to revive. This was even with 1 point into +health on minions + the damage nodes before it. Everytime I run or roll away from the Bosses' damage my minions run with me so they stop attacking. Makes it rather hard to minion this Boss. Why even have minions at all if their leash is so short?

I have yet to get to level 5. Died a bunch of times.

are you attempting devour before the red veils quest and the power runes? there is an entire side area to do- this was hanged me up at first. this game is not linear at all
What characters are you guys finding hard ? I'm playing sorcerer and dieing few times but try get used of the mechanics. I started Titan which finding pretty fun. I'm playing on controller also PC 😁

Hmmm I don't remember those quests, must have missed them somehow? I'll start another witch and see if I can find them.
im trying warrior still, but i think i will switch, its the same problem as poe1- you play as 2 hander non-melee (its more like fire trap/seismic trap gameplay) where 1h+shield is absolute trash that will kill you and upset you, which is kinda silly.

Sorceress here, loving the game so far. It's not too hard at all, in fact, I find it to be too easy...
5 hours... I really think they should just delete posts by people who are strenuously complaining about how hard the game is when they have 5h. There's just no way thats fair. No offense but for all we know you might be a guide gamer who'll be a lot happier after others tease out the strong stuff.

I might share your opinion honestly but I'm going to give it a lot more than 5h, hell I even choked down 20h of D4 before I gave up trying to enjoy myself and acknowledge my initial impressions of it being garbage. I'm not sold on Johnathan's idea that Souls-like is the correct direction for ARPG's at all... In fact I suspect I wont like it. I play ARPG's because they're about characters and gearing, and NOT my reflexes.

But in 5h there's no chance you adapted enough, unlearned POE1 enough, experimented enough, found enough gear or progressed a characters skills and passives enough to have a functional opinion, let alone a strongly worded one.

Chances are you're stuck on POE'1 1 button power creeped to the moon and back, solved meta; and you want a brand new game to feel the same.

And there's no way anyone could know tbh so don't act like I'm being mean or unreasonable even.
Pandering to players who want their choices to not matter is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.

Perhaps this game isn't made for people with 1 arm. I was hoping to be able to play Witch Summoner.

Going to keep trying.
I like hard games. I enjoy solving the puzzle.

For me, the problem isn't that it's hard, it's that it's just plain unfun. Everything feels slow, unrewarding, and hollow. That's not what games should be.

+1 op. The game is just dodge or die
