POE 2: Class Gender Lock is a Step Backwards

There is MTX to remove armor as well.
I'm personally a fan of removing the helmet, sometimes if I want a more primal look to the character boots and gloves too.

....., or am I overreacting?

Yes, completely! Besides why backwards? It always was that way for poe.
German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!
torturo: "Though, I'm really concerned, knowing by practice the capabilities of the balance team."
top2000: "let me bend your rear for a moment exile"
Apply some MTX and you'll never know what gender your character has. Problem solved.
My most hated game.
My most favorite game.
Such is the duality of man.
You are not overreacting. Genderlock is big disappointment for me too, specially when Quin69 asked this same thing to Chris Willson on the first ExileCON and he answered that PoE2 will have 1 sex as default, but in the case they add it, it will be under a MTX... Which is another way to drain more money to us.

I think you are wrong.

How about answering that question? what f2p game sell gender options? I'm quite curious. And no, movesets are not skins.

I feel like this is a great fit for MTX actually. As someone who will never buy armor in this game, I would be happy to support GGG in this way, as I feel like for me at least alternative character models/new characters of the same class is valuable.
I'm with you, but most of the people that play this type of game are neckbeards that don't really care of how they look (instead of being edgy and badass like) so we're probably barking at the wrong tree.
I've never understood why gender locking is a thing in RPGs. It's usually specifically Eastern style RPGs but I really would like to have a male counterpart to the female classes. I tend to lose emersion when I am forced to play as a female. Thankfully the classes I am more excited to play in POE2 are male.
