POE 2: Class Gender Lock is a Step Backwards

"

The reputation of selling $150 armor skins? Be real brother, this is no different. Just an alternate character for an existing class. Another form of MTX to support the game, that could exist in perpetuity for the game's lifespan.

Skins are skins, just that. Gender selection is basic feature in many games. Im asking what other game sells gender selection? What you think of it means nothing honestly, the shitstorm would happen like never before. Nobody is so stupid to not see it. You know im right.

I think you are wrong.

Than you are to young to be on the internet. Games get review bombed for a lot less.
I love how many counterpoints to this argument there are such as

Lore tied to the character, such as the duelist and Piety in PoE1 unless we just assume piety goes both ways.

The fact it costs time and money, regardless of how much, because that is time and money that can be better spent elsewhere. League Mechanics, Skills, Content, Monster Types, etc

The fact it appears to be a minority requesting it

The fact a majority of that minority will be playing the game regardless based on their own comments, indicating it adds minimal amount of value

and the argument to all that is

"Well I Want it"

Just sell it as a MTX, yea there will be backlash, but gamers are the most fickle people on the planet and most of them crying about it will be playing anyways.

Negative reviews on steam and epic can really hurt games. Nobody reads them, they just see huge red sign "negative" and move on. Its literally not worth it. Nobody here made any valid counterpoint to that. Nobody even tried to describe potential gains (because there arent any). So why should GGG waste time on it?
eh I will for sure be playing it, this is hardly a make it or break it feature for me.

At the end of the day would I want to do a warrior Valkyrie character build as an example, sure, would it prevent me from playing otherwise, no. Chances are I might just use Sorc for the elemental stuff anyways (depending on how caster and not elemental focused the ascendencies are).

This. Hell, take that time and make me another MTX set I can throw my money at. Make it a color scheme that is underrepresented.

No, we don't need to be able to choose genders. Everyone is equal and gets to play as one of the pre-existing themed characters. No one gets to choose gender or how big their head is, or the color of their eyes. This isnt necessary or relevant.

I recall multiple MTX for eye color actually, I personally have both blue and red.

That doesn't exactly make your point either, it just shows if people get a stick up their ... they will do it, just as likely to review bomb PoE2 for not having the choice as they are for an MTX option later on.
What a weird thing to complain about.
