Stop allowing streamers to have input on Gauntlet.
" "lack of participation" was the reasoning for the old events not happening anymore. I don't really care if there's hardcore events but until they make Hardcore-Challenge characters transfer to Standard-Challenge on death they're wasting a lot of potential for players to interact with that difficulty and not be punished by being allowed to continue their progression in standard-challenge if they so wish. The events of old were a lot more fun than these gauntlets and you actually were rewarded for your time spent pretty decently versus these recent events that cater to only a small portion of the population most of which outside of those people weren't again given any reason to engage with that difficulty in the first place especially post-ruthless which make absolutely no sense whatsoever if we're going to talk about putting their workforce onto more "important matters" Gauntlet rewards are lottery at best and i haven't looked into this but have they even increased the number of them given away to account for increases in the player population? " Yeah I'm pretty sure the gauntlet raffles for mtx are like 5x less the number of what they usually had in the previous regular events, so even if you reach lvl95 it's still a super small chance to win anything, lottery is an accurate description of this mtx raffle. Previous official events just had way better rewards and were at least fun to play in and anyone could just jump into them since they were softcore. |

i think a lot of peoples problems with the gauntlet is that sctrade is just too easy. So people are used to that.

" The majority of the people who play Standard & Standard-Challenge* would likely disagree especially given how many requests there have been for an easy-mode. I'm not among those who want added game-modes but hey we already have ruthless and as you can see, high player counts xD! " I honestly think ruthless was just more of a early PoE2 testing. The mode is not really more difficult than the regular mode, just more tedious with build limitations and artificially grindy with some of the changes. A "easy mode" would probably end up just like ruthless and I close to nobody would play it. In the end wasted workforce they could invest better. The current state of path of exile is already the easy mode across all modes with the endless stacking of player power with each new league without compensating the lack of difficulty over content difficulty buffs and adjustments. SC trade is the easiest mode and SSF or HC are just as easy as it's the same bad aged base game difficulty. Both are just like ruthless more limiting in some ways whether it is build accessibility, or visibility in early or endgame. So in the end also just artificial difficulty. I think ruthless despite all the changes is actually the easiest mode right now if you don't look at build visibility and diversity, cause slowing down players gameplay some does surprisingly help most to not jump blindly from one mob pack into another one only to be surprised to die during such play style on less optimal builds. HC would be a better mode if they had things like the gauntlet mods enabled at all times but frankly the mode really did lost its touch back when they disconnected doing HC exclusive league mechanics. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

SC trade is easy mode. Its not hard to get a character to 92-94 and do t17s and ubers in softcore. Its braindead easy. you can do it with a scuffed character. You may 6 portal some t17s but its still doable.
Im curious pashid, How many t17s have you farmed in hc. Since your acc is private its impossible to add any credibility that hc is easy. Its pretty easy if you know how to play the game and build chars before they added t17s. t17s are scary in hc though. Last edited by Lonnie455Rich#2087 on Oct 2, 2024, 8:58:21 AM

When I saw the league I knew I had 0 shot at even finishing an entry for the GPU, but you know what?
I logged in, I tried it, I giggled like an idiot at hailrake and kole (shoutout: we still wont be nerfing rhoas), ripped on Mr. Handy, called it a day. Props to the iron bois who are leading this, and turboprops to ziz and steelmage for setting it up. |

" Events used to be for the community. Streamers get payed to do what they do already so beyond that being featured by GGG or even allowed all the special favors they gave away in the past like free-head-starts over everyone else is a bit much. That really happened btw ^ the Community got really angry about it. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony#3358 on Oct 2, 2024, 1:16:28 PM

" How is gauntlet not for the community? I loved this gauntlet. Made about 15 characters trying to kill hillock. Finally swapped to champion and made it to vaal temple. Died on overseer, called it a day. Had a blast with the game being actually difficult and every drop being rewarding, examining every rare. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

" I think hardcore events would be fine but they don't allow people to engage with it in a healthy way for example again making it so hardcore-challenge players who die transfer to standard-challenge, That would increase engagement a lot more than a gauntlet and once participation levels are high enough that would be a good time to run hardcore content. But the way things are is that most people play Standard Challenge and a lot of them cant handle losing their character so i ask you the same question. What about it was for the community?
