Stop allowing streamers to have input on Gauntlet.

Exactly, its pretty boring seeing always the same handful of streamers playing in these hc ssf events and its always the same people that win. It's just sad that they stopped doing end of league events that are just regular softcore with random mtx raffles and maybe 1x free box, those were fun to play in.

Login, play the event that's accessible for everyone as nobody is excluded, have fun, get your free mtx box with potentially even a random raffle price, win.
It's that simple

Looking at the ladder plenty of hundreds are having a blast and you could easily be one of them ;)

I don't want to play hardcore lol, the campaign also looks impossible in this event with all the random extra mods on the bosses and zones. This event might aswell be a private league. Most players don't like the very concept of losing your character on death, which is why hc has so fewer players. It's pretty simple.

And as I said before, a lot of the sc playerbase is quite literally excluded from this event because its in hc, and some people even don't like ssf because they enjoy trading and just buying all their gear.

The only time I ever played hc was for the achievement to reach lvl90, never again. It's gonna stay that way. I died at lvl89 on an rf build in delve while trying to do that achi and it was the most horrible experience I've ever had in a game ever lol, words cannot describe how pointlessly time-wasting it feels to just lose so much progress to a death in delve's darkness debuff.

No one's stopping you from creating your own private league with your own rules...

Don't complain in this case since you got the option to play the event

So impossible that more than 8k characters finished the campaign. Guess they are all cheating or something lol
But sure maybe impossible if you are unable to play anything but glass cannons, makes sense in this case.

Funny enough a lot of players do play the race just for the fun, simply because it's just a short mid league event, and not a full serious league. Looking at numbers more players did joined the race compared to day 1 ssf hc settlers.

Again don't complain that the event is just HC only, cause even a decent sc player can get far into those events. Just gotta let go of your safety bubble if you want to be included into fun.

Sounds like you died on greed or didn't bring enough flares with you. Kinda your fault to die there
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Well that is literally what gatekeeps and closes off a lot of players from the event. The normal race events they used to do that were simply softcore were way better and more fun. Even if it's for a free box I ain't playing the campaign on hc especially with custom modifiers lol

I just don't wanna play hc, and a lot of other players feel the same way. It's as simple as that. I have no idea why these gauntlet events are ssf hc in the first place, if they were softcore at least it would be a more interesting event since then everyone gets to participate. 8k might have done campaign for the mystery box but there's like 20 people actually competing in the endgame for first kills of the uber bosses kek

Except I literally can't because not everyone can just make a private league that easily. This is why I miss the custom events at the end of a league that they used to do so often before.

Gauntlet race events are always HC for reasons.
While they could offer a sc variation without rewards I can kinda see why they don't do it.

In other words you're just gatekeeping yourself here as you do have the opportunity to just have fun in a not so serious 1 week event.

Even now everyone who wants to gets to participate, nobody other than yourself stops you to do so.
They do it in ssf to get group play and trade cheese out of the way and also HC cause it's more interesting. Nobody wants to watch racers go full glass cannon just to corps rush Ubers day 1. Nobody really wants to play like that either.

Except the point that there are more than 20 players beyond level 90 and active in the endgame.
But if it's all about the box, if 8k get it done I don't see what's going to stop you.

And if it's for competitive racing, even if it was a sc race the most average players wouldn't stand a chance against the top racers anyways. So either way it doesn't matter.
The opportunity to have fun exists but you refuse to make use of it so that's on you.

Yea its not gatekeeping at all. Everyone can and has the ability to sign up.

Only every players skill/patience is the gatekeeping aspect. And that is out of GGGs hands.

Having a SC version would be boring and not really rewarding. The risk part of the guantlet being HC is what makes it so entertaining and challenging, knowing it can all end in a second.

Cant wait for POE2 to see stuff like this though for the basegame. It seems many have said this guantlet reminds them of what they experienced.

Keep it up GGG!

No it doesn't, because I don't think hardcore is a fun gamemode.
I think we're really getting away from the most important point, which is that there seem to be people in this thread who genuinely think that the streamers responsible for paying for and organizing an event don't deserve to have any say in what the rules for that event are.

This is literally like going to someone's wedding and criticizing the food everyone else is enjoying because it's not what you personally would have ordered. Weve rocketed past selfish/entitled/rude and into full on pathological territory here.
