Stop allowing streamers to have input on Gauntlet.
" I think it's a fair enough complaint to have though, most players atm are probably just bored with no custom race events happening like they used to. And the only event happening right now is in this restrictive gamemode. If it at least had an sc version with its own raffles or mystery box reward it would be fun to play in. Or you know, if we had any other official events. |

Nah most players dont feel this at all.

Like ask any softcore trade player if they enjoyed all the custom end-of-league events with free mtx and most will say yes. A lot of people had fun in one or all of those events near the second half of a league when they're burnt out on the main game itself and they've done all the builds they can/challenges or whatever.
We just want some fun custom events to play, that's all. And this gauntlet ain't it for most people, not even because of the map mods but mainly because of the hc ssf restriction on it. Like I'd play it if it was normal softcore but with all the crazy mods, would be fun to trade with people and help them get their op builds online and so on. I'd just aim for that lvl95 raffle threshold and hope I win some mtx kek Hopefully next league, or next year we get some more official custom events again for the tail-end of leagues. |

" It is not a fair complaint, at all. See, the wedding analogy. And for what it's worth, if the complaint were fair, you would still be making it to the wrong people and you should take it up with Ziz directly. Or as an alternative, you could 1 - come up with your own event 2 - contact dozens of sponsors and negotiate thousands of dollars in prizes 3 - work with hundreds of content creators to promote your event and commit to participation 4 - establish rules to ensure fair competition among tens of thousands of players. 5 (optional) - reach out to GGG to see if they're willing to throw out some free MTX to entice participation from players like me who never had any realistic shot at winning. And I am one hundred percent serious. You should literally do all of that, because it sounds like you have ideas for events which do not match anything which currently exists. More variety is good for everyone! And besides, you'd get to set the rules to whatever you want because it's your event. Last edited by ARealLifeCaribbeanPirate#2605 on Oct 1, 2024, 8:27:15 AM

No I'm just gonna wait for there to be more official events sometime. And if there aren't then oh well.

imagine just for the sake of argument, and I'm not saying this is the case here, but if someone hypothetically got a high challenge number next to their name in regular content; this person maybe thinks highly of themself because they got this number. So maybe they see a private league open event, dreamed up and entirely curated by some popular HC streamers with harder mods and intended to be a spectacle a SUPER PUNISHING showcase of the best try hard SSF HC has to offer. Its not GGG's private league, fully run by players/streamers with albeit some occasional (apparently volunteer) assistance by some Dev's to give a little extra spice.
This imaginary player with their super duper number thinks they're kinda a big deal, they join, get their ass handed to them like (almost) everyone else , maybe repeatedly who knows... They get mad 'cause... maybe because their number lied to them, and never indicated anything qualitative in the least? So instead of accepting the new information, they might deflect the "blame" into someone else. Imagine that... how could that number next to their name lie to them? Everyone knows bigger number = better player and also needless to say: higher quality forum opinions! (naturally). Imagine what that scenario might look like were it to really happen... Nobody was talking about challenge completion amounts here. This thread is just discussing the current event and custom events as a whole.
The fact is that most sc players never want to play hc in their life, including me. In my eyes that mode is a pointless waste of time, not a challenge. That's why I don't play in these gauntlets. And that's why I expressed that I want GGG to make random custom events like they used to. It's that simple. |

" only thats not actually what you wrote nor is the title of the thread anything remotely resembling that. You asked GGG to not allow streamers to have input on the thing they made up and curated and popularized because you don't like it. Imagine. No, the only thing I'm asking for is a softcore version of this event. Or just more official events in general.
