im tired of spending time to prepare content to run

" Surely its SOOOO much better to have your port outs forced at the end of every tiny little chunk of mapping, whether your inventory is full or not and then be forced to roll more stuff and parse more text every few minutes... its almost like you're not actually aware that you're already doing what you're being sarcastic about, but you don't realize you're already doing it, doing it on the arbitrary GGG enforced map size and map rolling/micromanagement clock instead of an organic "whenever i feel like it" clock that most* grindy games have. Is this one of those Ultimatum enjoyer "I like things fed to me so I don't have to think or make choices and I can just follow the box directions" kind of things? *I say most, honestly its basically every grind game ever, POE is the only grind game I know of that pushes a dry boring (exhausting even) log jam of meta-game content preparation in front of their core loop. " Yea you're missing the point; their objection is not about not getting rewards, its about how anti-fun the micromanagement is. "only 10% of players care about melee" - Aesop's Fox if he was a GGG dev

+1
i hate rolling maps so much. it just jars you out of the play experience, i get in a zone, im playing, i dont want to come out of that zone and start reading mods and using currency and making sure im not running some gotcha map that is going to instantly kill me to reflect or disable my build with some bullshit... i fking hate it, i literally despise the map system with rolling maps at this point, and thats before we start adding sextants and scarabs etc. i tend to not even do any of that shit simply because its so much fussing and fking around its so jarring and disruptive id rather close the game and play something where what im doing is actually playing the game. i still play diablo 3, i play diablo 3 wayyyy more than i play this game now days and the main reason for that is i can just play diablo 3. i can sit down, load a rift, load a rift, load a rift, load a rift, i can grind the game without the game just jolting me out of my zone constantly. |

" I found a solution to this. Just play toxic rain pf. There's not a single map mod you can't run.
One simple solution is too let item filters read maps and gray out bad mods.
Truth is to many map mods are incredible dangerous. We need ways of selectively removing crap, like targeted annuls. Too bad ggg despises players. |

What do we want: EVERYTHING!
When do we want it: NOW! What will we do to get it: whine on forum this pretty much sums up this topic Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"
I'm disabled, I have rare case of semperduravera, so I can write things that may look rude, but it is because of disability - I'm forced to tell truth using words you may not like.
" thats an easy way to have an opinion about this but there is more to it :) no one is whining here its feedback ... "There are Penalties in the Game, no one's complaining about them"

The very basis of this thread is that you HAVE to spend tons of time preparing any kind of content to play. This is categorically false: you CHOOSE however much time you'd LIKE to spend maximizing your content AND receive rewards commensurate with your time and other investment. But the game also has PLENTY of ways to run content in seconds. You just choose to completely ignore it. I have yet to see an actual comparison to a game with as much customization of endgame content that PoE has...that does a better job with it. All the comparisons are with games that have a significantly dumbed down version of endgame content, with very little (if any) actual customizable content. Juicing to the gills is not for everyone: and luckily there are MANY other options open to you! Last edited by Vinky_GGG on Oct 4, 2023, 4:39:05 PM
