This is such an extremely odd post and thread...especially the comparison with D3 of all things. Head buried in the sand much?

The customization of the endgame is one of the greatest pluses of PoE over literally any other aRPG out there on the market. Mindlessly running rifts and greater rifts that are all exactly the same is absolutely terrible design. It is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest criticisms of D3 (and D4 endgame dungeons) across the entire lifetime of both games. It's a repeat of Baal / Meph / Diablo runs...mindless, brainless repetitive endgame nonsense. Thank GOD we don't have that in PoE.

Being able to sextant / alch / scarab exactly what you want from your maps is incredible. And if you don't want to spend the time...you alch the map and run it (takes less than a second...).

If you are shooting for PERFECT maps and PERFECT farming every single time you run a map...you had BETTER be willing to take the time and spend the currency to do so. You are maxing the hell out of things. It shouldn't be EASY to do...

You have the OPTION to micro everything: you are not being FORCED to micro everything.

Let's not forget that trading in this game is intentionally bad. Can't blame people for saying eff it, I don't want to do this anymore

Lol buy in bulk, one trade and you're set for plenty of maps. Roll a map is a click with alch and one or two chaos orbs if its really bad, what else you try to roll there, you're not MF to worry bout that

where can i buy compasses in bulk? like for example harvest compasses 4 charges
?

On the trade website for example, duh. Message the guy who list more than one.

It's just another faccet of what i consider one of POEs core issues. QoL. Everything related with "crafting" as in "using currency to get mods on something" is incredibly tiresome because there is large amounts of rng involved every time.
Everytime i have to roll a flask i feel like i am sitting in a casino in vegas pullling that lever on a slot machine over and over and over and over and over and over again just that there is no big rush if i actually win for a change because just a few cents come out even in the best case.
Rolling maps is similar, depending on your build and luck rolling an individual map can take longer than running it. That's unlikely to be the case if you prepare them in bulk but it's not impossible either.
Other ARPGs like D3 and LE are definetely better at this because you can get your maps "juiced" without wasting time on rolling them.
I actually thought this was going to be about league gating that's been going on since Ultimatum.

Since then you can't just do and enjoy league content. You have to insert yourself into the hamster wheel that is the current end-game of map spam. Alch and go has never been more prominent.

I want to play maps that last more than 5 minutes and fork into side treks like they used to.

Havnt play d3 for years, can you now roll/juice rifts?

Because there is nothing better than long maps and having to port out multiple times to trade. A truly marvelous combination.

Me neither so i don't know. OP said he doesn't have that issue in D3 so i put it in there. My reference is LE where every node has a set of mods attached to it which then last for 5 nodes before disappearing. That way you get agency over what mods you want to run and since every node has rewards attached to it you also know what loot you are getting out of it but there is no manual input required from you aside from clicking the node. Compared to POE it provides MORE agency over both difficulty AND rewards with WAY less time investment.
