im tired of spending time to prepare content to run
"But why includ it then as example of rolling and juicing? You really think D3 rifts are better than maps? Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"

" Your question is missing the point. It's not about GRs being better than maps. It's about map juicing being incredibly tiresome but at the same time basically mandatory to get any loot out of them. Whether that is a big problem for the person in question is a highly subjective and has great influence on which one you'd prefer. You don't seem to mind and you like the agency so you probably think maps are better. For me it's a big issue. I can't make a comparison with D3 as i stopped playing it before GRs were even a thing but i know from LE that it can be done better, GGG just refuses to do so because they have that idea that making things tiresome somehow improves the game and i am so fet up with this bullshit mentality of theirs i just wanna puke everytime i start thinking about it. I'd love nothing more than run fully juiced 80 or 100% deli maps back to back because it's much more fun to do so. But because of the effort required just to prepare them i find myself doing transmute and go instead 90% of the time because i can't be arsed to spend half an hour in my hideout preparing my maps before i am finally allowed to have some fun. That and the fact that my wrist give out after like 4-5 maps of picking up 150+ simu splinters per map one by one which is again a Qol issue. Last edited by Baharoth15 on Oct 3, 2023, 3:58:17 AM

" Its not about missing the point, but about using false arguments like „juicing maps is better in d3”. Also saying that you need to juice the maps to get ANY LOOT (you exact words) is just a lie. You can alch and go to get loot. You juice to get most possible loot, and yes, Im glad PoE is not doing it like other generic arpgs. If you dont enjoy it, why you force yourself? that makes no sense. Sure, you get "loot". Trash rares and low value currencies can be considered "loot" too, strictly speaking. Doing so is just obfuscating the argument though.
As i already said, i don't force myself. I hate the juicing so i rarely ever do it. I don't even care about losing out on some potential loot in the process. Doesn't change the fact that i think GGGs design philosophy on this matter is beyond cancer. Last edited by Baharoth15 on Oct 3, 2023, 4:24:11 AM

" Saying that poe map juicing is beyond cancer and D3 is a lot better at juicing is for sure something. My opinion is different - I think some people are lazy and think they deserve everything without effort, not realisng that participation trophy is not a real trophy. This is a game you realize? I don't mind putting in effort but doing so needs to be fun. I am playing this game to have fun not as a freaking job. There is absolutely nothing fun about the process of rolling maps. It's a fun tax i have to pay to get more rewards and i refuse to do that. Forcing this kind of effort adds nothing to the game it just makes it worse.

Maps are better than GRs but there's pros and cons to both and comically they share some.
You don't have to juice GRs because they scale naturally until you simply can't do then within the time limit. Maps actually share this time limit though it's not hanging over your head. I personally hate it. I like to fight stronger enemies to push my build limits. This exists in GRs but does not in Maps. Maps have a DPS threshold you will hit and they're done. While GRs the all mighty timer fail you. I don't find either to be ideal personally. Warframe used to facilitate Solo lvl 600 enemies but it no longer does and all of this kinda trends into the same issue where they cannot make good AI and interesting NPCs since they die before they can do anything. Most the Warframe community had no idea how half the enemies worked or what abilities they had that were ultimately dangerous. You weren't rewarded for this at all. It was just fun to do and push builds. While both PoE and D3 can pretend to have AI. It's very basic. Sanctum showed this very well. When I did the league leveling, it felt like I was using skill. After a point everything just poofs like normal. Ultimately none of the games I mentioned reward punching above your belt which I find boring. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

I've never understood why you always see so many threads that can be answered with "Then don't."
If you don't like spending time prepping maps, then don't. Allocate either Stream of Consciousness or Gathering Hordes, chisel, alch, and go. You'll be fine, I promise; I've been running SoC with exarch altars for like the last 3 leagues. The drops come from league mechanics anyway unless you're running extreme amounts of magic-find gear. |

Well, then dont buy just one and ask the seller that list multiple sextants to buy more, simple as that. Or dont buy them at all if you dislike it so much. How hard is it to set price range and scroll the offers.
