POLL: Did Exilecon increase or decrease your overall hype for POE and POE 2?
Im sure i will like PoE2 as a standalone game. But I am incredibly disappointed that the last 4 years of "We are busy working on PoE2, we cant work on PoE1" has basically just been them ignoring the big issues with the current game.
So basically hype for PoE2 is the same. Hype for PoE1 has gone down a ton. I might be more hyped for PoE2 if they released more info and it wasnt at best a year and a half away. Last edited by Paradoxoglanis on Aug 1, 2023, 12:03:05 PM

Decreased, but i`ll still play poe 2 and have fun with it. Some of the changes are great, the main issue is it being a different game and poe 1 being doom to die eventually.

It is the same was it was I guess. Some good some bad, but it's a year out so I have no idea how it will turn out. So it's pointless to try and gauge.

" What is wrong with people today. You just make things up and act like it's true, then spout them on the forums. Where do you get any of that? You do know Balormage was incorrect about how many people were working on PoE right?
IF Poe2 is mandatory ruthless mode im going to play just poe1..
So probably yes. | |
" Have you been following the game at all? GGG has stated several times over the last few leagues that they couldnt make big changes because they are busy with PoE2. Look at the new 4 month cycle, the lack of a full expansion this year. Its not speculation. |

Huh, when even people who attend your convention hate your new product...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk0aHKBozpE This feels a bit like "is this an aprils fools joke" moment to me. After considering a lot of opinions I read, I agree that PoE2 is probably really that ruthless game only a small part of the playerbase wants. Hm, will continue to play PoE1 for sure, but PoE2, if it turns out to be like this, I will try once and then forget about it. And no, tedium is NOT depth or challenge. Just tedium. But remembering the nonsense I read in the "trade manifesto" I don't think that this will resonate with GGG. |

Greatly decreased.
I expected to be let down by blizzard and d4. I did not expect, what feels like to me, d4 levels of disappointment on PoE2 |
|
Definitely decreased.
Slow as freak animations ramp up of up to 3 seconds for spells that can be interrupted by the first white trash mob that tickles you. The way they explained the new currencies scares me a lot, it seems like most of the currencies will be worthless to trade as you'll only need one or two per item try, that or to counterbalance it they'll make it so you loot one every ten maps? The bosses in the demo and presentations seemed to have an unholy amount of life and damages, and the fact that you have to start again from the start everytime you die will certainly make me end up ragequitting and going back to poe 1. And you'll have to beat like 75 hard bosses every time you create a new character for each and every league to gain the little stat bonuses every boss give? Not gaining flask charges on white mob and having to use town portals to go back to town and recharge them in the middle of action, what a fun mechanic. You know, when people hyped by the game try it and instead of saying "It's so cool, i'm having so much fun" they tell you "It's hum, a different feeling than poe 1", it's a bad sign.
Decreased my hype for both.
Poe 1 will be dead after poe 2 official launch because most of the poe 1 players will be on poe 2. It will be very difficult to trade. Poe 2 looks bad to me because it looks nothing like the poe I love. It looks like diablo 5. |
