Raise Spectre Gem did NOT deserve your shortsightedness

Another thing that baffles me...

Content is getting exponentially harder this league. Then nerf the crap out of spectres. Make the end game game viable for only the rich.

Its like a triple F*&^ You...

If the 1% is the issue why punish the casuals?

The uber rich in this game usually play pay to win and buy supporter packs. This has always been the players GGG caters to.

Casual honest players always have a difficult road.

First of all sorry for my english, I'm french.

I think it's time for me to skip this season.

I was enjoying spectre builds because I'm 50 years old and barely could not anymore strike bunch of spell and flasks keystroke per seconds for surviving and playing.

At least spectres helped me to play and enjoy some relaxed play style.

I think this game is not for me anymore.
Although I have not played spectral buuld, but can thus nerf be mitigated by using Meat shield /Elemental army for defence? I saw this kind of builds in action, and they do insane amount of damage, like 1.5-2 seconds per Shaper phase. So maybe damage nerf will still preserve thus kind of build playable?
There once was an exile who found a map of infinite doctors.
Since I play RS it is the second time spectres level was nerfed.

First time was when the spectre level got hard tied to the gem level and all necros have had to find out the ways to increase the gem level to at least 25 level to achieve 83 level spectre.

Before that necros just needed 83-84 area (t16 map or shaper realm) to desecrate + raise spectre to obtain end game spectres.

Now you once again decrease base spectre level and make it almost not possible to get spectres to end game content level.

I do not get it...
Why is that a very taboo to have spectres the same level as the end game boss/monsters?
Is this a childhood trauma of some game designer? Or some unspoken rule in your team?
Why other builds can have characters much more higher than the end game content and only necromancers must stick to the white tier maps levels?
spectre levels will be tied to costly items to increase level. This will be mainly for the pay to win crowd.

GGG has been following this meta since the main changes a while back when necro was changed.

Every league its made easier for pay to win and harder on casual players.

The days of buying a simple 6l chest with an extra spectre and being able to play are long gone.

This is purely a financial decision on GGG's part and definetley not a decision that makes it fair for casual players.

The choices are pay to win or invest alot of time farming... Casuals just got the undead boot.

Honestly I'm disappointed in They of Tul getting nerfed. Most players tend to not pick up defensive spectres since it would cut into their DPS and clear speed. Yes we've got Undying Evangelists and the templar guys who project a proximity shield, but how often are they used over Chieftains, Solar Guards, Flame Sentinels, Vaal Advocates, Slave Drivers, and Redemption Sentries?

More options would be nice.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

Actually I do not see any hard SO nerf.
Yes they lost ability to use spell echo but that is just a 53% more damage that can be replaced by other support gem (example minion damage) so the overall decrease within 5% less damage.
Not a big deal.

So if you look at Slave Driver in my league start build:

Level 25, 83 level. 615k sDPS / 39k life (now)
Level 25, 77 level. 442k sDPS / 26k life (3.13)

This is [redacted] unbelievable. Their design team does not have ANY CLUE about ANYTHING related to this gem.

- Mid tier spectre, "old" spectres (e.g. from campaign) are totally nonviable now
- There is no middle ground. You go for TOP TIER Spectres ONLY, having naturally >300% life and are somewhat strong enough.
- Gem Level: 25, Spectre Level: 77. We take YELLOW tier monsters into endgame. This is [REDACTED] ridiculous.

As a side note: Your total destruction of alternate gems (e.g. divergent determination or penetration of purities) shows that you have NO [REDACTED] CLUE ABOUT HOW TO PROPERLY BALANCE. YOU CAN DELETE ALTERNATE GEMS NOW, IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.

It baffles me how someone can be so ignorant and [redacted] about his own game.
