As always, these stats give us useful information for planning future leagues, and will also help greatly if we integrate Betrayal content into the core game.

Why pussyfoot around it? Chris already said it's going core, and it's not like you guys are willing to throw out leagues anymore.

After all that feedback, people at GGG seriously think that the first issue is the difficulty of the fight ???

SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
Statistics are nice, but

As said in this thread multiple times : the master encounter complex is shit, useless, has too many drawbacks to do it.

I as well just stick to doing betrayal safehouses and do not at all want to lose the progress here, so i never did
the master so far, even with hundreds of hours put into betrayal ...

A shame you only seem to monitor your statistics and too often don´t open ears to your community ...

!!!! if you did you would not "WONDER" ( wtf ) why the expected mastermind count is less ... puh

That would not be accurate. I have 2 characters, one with "open" syndicate and one with Syndicate locked in Reasearch, as there is always slight chance, intervention appears when I'm surrounded by other monsters. I'm convinced many players act like this, ad Syndicate appearance is too unpredictable.

Same bullshit in that hellish miniboss in A5 where you gotta wait for him to turn into innocence. The fight is dragged out with zero difficulty in the intermediate add spawning phases. THEY ADD LITTERALLY NOTHING EXCEPT DRAGGING THE FIGHT OUT ARTIFICIALLY!!!

Totally agree with that...

In my opinion, it's been a long time that GGG just release new league/expansion and avoid to adress several game issues. Also, I think that some game decisions are far away from the average player base.

It's been pointed by a lot of players that Mastermind fight is garbage, rewards are not worth, and the time to unlock that fight is too much. But have you changed some of that? No.

A lot of players have pointed that current Alva spawn system makes reaaaaaally difficult to achieve tier3 rooms. Have you done something about that? No.

A lot of players have pointed that Niko should have spawn always 3 sulphite nodes. Have you done something about that? No.

A loooot of players have pointed that some challenge objectives are simply absurd (like the 400 atlas objectives). Have you done something? No.


Betrayal legue design is a failure in my opinion. This league is great because of the master's rework. But you GGG seem to make decisions having in mind only those players that can play several hours a day. Dou you truly think it's a suprise that only 1.08% of players have completed 36 challenges? Dou you really understand your own game? It requires a lot of time to get those challenges. I've done 30 and it's because I had the time to play a lot this league. Also, challenge rewards are not worth. Cloak is nice, but when I think that I have to grind several hours for that, the game becomes repetitive and I decide to pass on that.

You keep throwing us new content, and that's great, but it's not balanced. It takes a long of time to fill Mastermind intelligence house, only to get garbage rewards. Research house is probably the best one in rewards term, but it spwans a lot less than the other houses.

Harbinguer league was a low quality one in my opinion. Bestiary league's design was a failure. IMO Incursion became really boring in short time. I start to play the game, and it's really frustrating that I get bored really fast because almost every aspect of the game requires tedious grind.

Delve league was one of the best. Now I can't mine as much as I wanted if I not buy suplhite scarabs. And do not tell me it's easy to do that. Not all the players have currency to sustain that.

At this moment, trade is one of the uggliest aspects of the game. You GGG are not doing nothing on that.

Map system endgame is getting boring also. Several map layouts duplicated (channel and waterways for example), bosses with immune phases, difficult for average player to sustain maps by only playing maps (you need to trade to buy sextants, chisels... play temple and mine chambers, use scarabs...), etc...

You add new gem skills every league, and almost all of them are garbage. Who's using shattering steel or lancing steel, or summon phantasm on kill, or spectral shield throw? More is not better. Better is better. Less content, better balanced, and with no need to grind 4 or 5 hours a day. And that way you'll get better player retention IMO.

Next week you'll give us information on the new league, it will be exciting for sure, but in no time it will become another boring-grinding-league.


Well sayd! 100% agree.
The mastermind fight is the worst in the game. The temple had a ridiculously simple boss so GGG decided to make this one overly complicated and also very hard to get to. It should at least be a bit more accessible, as it is it just takes too much time to get there.

where's the next league countdown? usually u start it 30 days before league, betrayal began at december 7, but there's only 28 days in february. next league will start later?

In case this hasn't been answered yet: If you just don't run the safehouses you don't want, you can spawn the remaining ones faster. Most players i know only do Research (-> Breachstone upgrades) and Intervention (-> Scarabs) while ignoring Transportation. It takes a few hours to learn the syndicate members and position them in the right branches but once you're setup, you can make a lot of currency that way.
this leauge has been on of the worst . the content provided with betrayal comes to show how rushed it was. balance all over the place, rewards is utter garbage and not worth the effort. the randomness is just too overwelming at best, and the fact that so few people have completed the mastermind encounter comes to show how underwhelming this leauge is. it makes sense that people wont complete the mastermind fight when the effort to do so i just a waste of time.

i just hope ggg learn from their mistakes this leauge. i can get that its really hard to come up with new leauge mechanics in such a short time, but they should allways make sure that the leauge content are atleast balanced and make sense for people to do.
