Betrayal Statistics

Casual player unfriendly league; i only managed to gather enough intel for research after i had 110 atlas completion. So research safehouse opened a lvl 61 area or something. 10% spawn rate on not manipulating syndicate effectively my ass. I did betrayal encounters where the interogation option told me i would get research intel, but after i clicked that in reality it gave me transportation or fortification intel even if the master was in research. This was later confirmed to be a bug. And now with exalt prices being insanely high because of the new crafting system that ISN'T ACCESSIBLE AT ALL FOR SSF OR NON-TRADERS we casuals receive another kick in the gut.

Stop spastically working on player retention by introducing more and more content that might be rewarding but requires more and more time every time. It's not fun, and these statistics show you have no clue as to what people like and do for what reason. Or if you do, you chose to screw people over with unfinished buggy content for fun which is worse.

In my opinion, it's been a long time that GGG just release new league/expansion and avoid to adress several game issues. Also, I think that some game decisions are far away from the average player base.

It's been pointed by a lot of players that Mastermind fight is garbage, rewards are not worth, and the time to unlock that fight is too much. But have you changed some of that? No.

A lot of players have pointed that current Alva spawn system makes reaaaaaally difficult to achieve tier3 rooms. Have you done something about that? No.

A lot of players have pointed that Niko should have spawn always 3 sulphite nodes. Have you done something about that? No.

A loooot of players have pointed that some challenge objectives are simply absurd (like the 400 atlas objectives). Have you done something? No.


Betrayal legue design is a failure in my opinion. This league is great because of the master's rework. But you GGG seem to make decisions having in mind only those players that can play several hours a day. Dou you truly think it's a suprise that only 1.08% of players have completed 36 challenges? Dou you really understand your own game? It requires a lot of time to get those challenges. I've done 30 and it's because I had the time to play a lot this league. Also, challenge rewards are not worth. Cloak is nice, but when I think that I have to grind several hours for that, the game becomes repetitive and I decide to pass on that.

You keep throwing us new content, and that's great, but it's not balanced. It takes a long of time to fill Mastermind intelligence house, only to get garbage rewards. Research house is probably the best one in rewards term, but it spwans a lot less than the other houses.

Harbinguer league was a low quality one in my opinion. Bestiary league's design was a failure. IMO Incursion became really boring in short time. I start to play the game, and it's really frustrating that I get bored really fast because almost every aspect of the game requires tedious grind.

Delve league was one of the best. Now I can't mine as much as I wanted if I not buy suplhite scarabs. And do not tell me it's easy to do that. Not all the players have currency to sustain that.

At this moment, trade is one of the uggliest aspects of the game. You GGG are not doing nothing on that.

Map system endgame is getting boring also. Several map layouts duplicated (channel and waterways for example), bosses with immune phases, difficult for average player to sustain maps by only playing maps (you need to trade to buy sextants, chisels... play temple and mine chambers, use scarabs...), etc...

You add new gem skills every league, and almost all of them are garbage. Who's using shattering steel or lancing steel, or summon phantasm on kill, or spectral shield throw? More is not better. Better is better. Less content, better balanced, and with no need to grind 4 or 5 hours a day. And that way you'll get better player retention IMO.

Next week you'll give us information on the new league, it will be exciting for sure, but in no time it will become another boring-grinding-league.

You should consider having better gameplay testing cause I have done one playthrough from 1 to 91 and a lot of stuff was so obvious....


They have a lot of gameplay testing. But they dont call it "beta phase", they call it "league".

A friend who recommand this game told me that. I never took part of these beta testing phases and as I can read out of the comments from many leagues, I fare very well with it.

I might have done the Mastermind fight more than once if it didn't completely reset my progress.

I might have pushed safehouses other than Research if all the other encounters weren't such a tedious chore.

Between the bugs, the imbalance, the disappearing game studio, the snoozefest fights, the clusterfuck of shit smeared on my screen with every encounter, the utter fuckton of multi-layered rng, the lack of information (I should not need to alt-tab to another window every 5 minutes), the piss poor interface, gating literally everything behind maps when maps are now the least fun part of PoE's endgame . . . This was a dumpsterfire of a league. Worst league since Invasion. AND YOU'VE ALREADY DECIDED IT'S GOING CORE BEFORE WAITING TO SEE WHAT THE COMMUNITY'S REACTION TO THE LEAGUE WOULD BE! FUCK! How do you think people are going to react when it takes the entire next fucking league to unlock 1/2 of the available mods?!

Also, I'm sick of Shaper constantly cockblocking my Atlas/Zana progress. It's getting tiring.

This entire goddamned update left me with such a bitter taste in my mouth. 3.5 can fuck right off.
