I'll likely be playing both. I like to see where both games take the genre. D3 does have some good innovations, as does POE from the looks.
name me one innovation that made jest 1
Poe innovation is the charged pots

What do you mean by that?
You pay for somthing, that you dont own. You can not play the game in offline mode. You depend from blizzard. You can not play when you want where you want. If somthing happens to serves, you can not play, even if you paid for it. That is what he means I think. If somthing happens to blizz (its almost impossible) you can kiss your money goodbye.
That's a rather poor reason for not buying it.
You either have other reasons for not buying it other than just that, or you are just being pretty stupid.
You CAN play when you want where you want. There will be some exceptions, but those will be few and far between.
Thank you for insulting me. Because by your standards, i'm stupid.
No man, you cant, because you need to have internet connection to play it, also if you have crappy connection your no be able to play it, and also if servers are down you not be able to play.
I didn't even say what will happen if there is lag in a single player game.

I never implied you were stupid, just that you might be acting pretty stupid in this particular situation, in my opinion.
Also, If you read my post you would have seen that I said 'There will be some exceptions, but those will be few and far between.'
And yes, I have no idea how the quoting system works and I don't care. :P

Its not open in beta, but it will be open in some leagues. You will be able to go to instances and meet people there (and kill them). So you will have a mmo experience, or a normal, that you call like gw 1.
yeah... meeting people in an instance limited to 8 players is not "Massively Multiplayer"...

True, but in diablo 3 the content is even more optional than it is in POE, because all the buyable content is also obtainable through gameplay, while POE's optional content will NOT be obtainable through gameplay.
But d3 contents can affect gameplay, PoE contents will not affect gameplay.

D3 content? what will you be able to buy in the shop?
or are you talking about the auction house?

Well to be fair, POE will have the same buyable in-game items as diablo will, but they will just be illegal rather than through an in-game auction house. The only real difference are the cosmetic items POE will offer, that you can only get through spending real-life money, and not through gameplay.

Not massively multiplayer? MMO definition and games does not have to do anything with number of players in instance, it's the structure of the game that defins is it a mmo or not.

There's practically 0 difference between the structure of Diablo 3 and that of POE, so then by your logic, D3 is an MMO as well.

Not sure how 8 players equates to the "Massive" part of MMO. I'd consider it more Co-Op in scope.
