I take it you've never walked through a yellow map before.

I have, think it was a dunes or something /s

Of course I've walked through a yellow map, my threshold must be higher then others when it comes to clutter across the screen.

Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF.
Let me put it another way. The amount of clutter on the screen is the #1 QoL issue for me, and is the sole reason that you do not see another supporter tag under my name.

I play solo. It gives me actual headaches. It's too fucking much.

I remember Dungeon Siege had an elegant solution to the loot clutter, the transmute spell, turned all items on the ground to gold that was 75% of their sell value. cool spell.

but yeah i would love if they half the drops , double the vendor value of the drops and increase the chance for good mods accordingly.

i would also love if items didn't take up 8 bloody slots in ones inventory. this has been an issue since day one. most of the time wont even pick up tower shields on account of their inventory size

I Agree, anyone who does not complain about the drops needs to play more. which is shocking considering how many supporter packs goetzjam has.

i run 30% maps with 75% iiq and it is absolutely insane.

god help me if i ever redo my necro to run 150% maps again.

It is to the point where there simply aren't enough portals in a map to vendor all the shit that drops.

and lord knows i dont even look at the rares i id anymore, crtl wizdom spam and straight to vagan.

Or you could check my characters and see I have many high level characters, out of which have done many high quantity maps. But if you rather judge someone based on the amount of money they've spent on PoE instead of anything that could be relevant, more power to you.

I never said that GGG shouldn't do something about the item clutter on the screen. QoL things like a filter to check bases or types to show, ect can be done, without penalizing the solo players that DONT have an issue with clutter on the screen.

One can simply choose to ignore (or if GGG adds, filter) item drops, one can't get item drops to magically appear if they are reduced due to constant complaining. This issue won't ever be resolved until the option to filter item drops is added, so instead of arguing that I haven't had the need to have less items, you should be arguing FOR an item filter.

You do understand not everyone runs with 75 IIQ? YOU ARE FUCKING ASKING FOR IT. Why run 75 IIQ when you can probably double that in rarity and solve the issue yourself?

Its always been like that and should always be so, in a full party people leave behind TONS of rares because they don't have the room, hell even if solo you might not have the ability to take all rares out with 100 IIR.

This is a standard issue I suspect?

The moment GGG balances the game to be done around (required) party play, standard league or MF cullers is the moment GGG won't get a single dime more from me.

Then they need to put in a filter over removing it. This is how I make my currency in game. Picking up whites and alching them. In my over 2 years of playing I've found 1 item worth over 10 ex, if you take my my ability to easily generate wealth with white bases then it's over, I can't outplay my bad luck at that point.

To the OP, if you want to make currency go farm atziri, that's what she's there for. If you want to level up do maps. This game is about getting things at a cost, there's no magic bullet.

On top of the arguments provided why they should NOT reduce the amount of items dropped but rather introduce a filter for those who want to use it, severely reducing the amount of items dropped will make it so much harder to use the chance recipe (unique, rare, magic, white).

The problem is how the fuck do they make a user friendly filter for the system they have in place? I want specific white jewelry, some specific blue gear, most/all rares and some uniques. That's when high level mapping, lower level I want to avoid a bunch of stuff. When questing I want flasks and 4ls, sometimes if in a really shitty spot maybe a 3l.

There's so much variance that they would almost need to make every item in the game have a toggle. Which someone like me would need to change depending on what area he was farming.

Also it removes the excitement of loot explosions. Anyone remember Kripp's reaction to the CB wealth pack during that group race? (I've tried to find a SS, no luck if someone has it laying around) One of the best things of torment was getting a shrine or boss room infected to see the screen just covered in items. It's a good feeling. Sure, it can get stressful if it's happening constantly, but removing it entirely would kinda suck.

I absolutely 100% agree with what you said. I am a loot filter advocate.

Yes. Yes it is.

You also want people to stop supporting PoE in hopes that they will lose the ability to sustain and be forced into making another game. Logic that is extremely flawed.

So the difference between you and me is what exactly? That the things you care about haven't been messed up yet?

But in all seriousness, I agree that the drops shouldn't be balanced around MF characters, but around normal folks. I mean, in all truth, IIQ for finding gear is a broken stat, leading to massive clutter and some strange MF scaling; it really shouldn't be in the game at all. I would have split it into "increased rarity of items found" (includes map rarity) and "increased quantity of currency found." As gear goes, that would be it.

But I'd also do that split for maps. Run a 40% map and you should get 40% IRIF (which applies to maps too), 40% IQCF, and 40% map quantity (third stat not available on gear). So no massive map loot piles.

From there, since you'd have the same quantity of gear dropping per person, always, you could tweak it for the right balance of variety vs clutter.
