...::: SFL Poll results and conclusions :::...

I'm sure GGG will make an entire league and run an entire server for all of the 128 people that voted.

Let's think about that.

I hope all of you have cash to pool together for a paid league.

Also no, they are not making a "SFL" league when the thread itself representing "SFL" league can't even state what you guys >exactly< want and then go back into complaining about drop rates and how they should increase it.

Which is ironic since "everyone" wants increase drop rates if they think the game doesn't drop enough good stuff.

1. No. I don't care how easy it is to trade. To me trading is like that mode in Super Mario Bros. where you can press a button and the game will play for you. Game is too tough? Trade. Dominus handed you your ass? Don't grind, flip some gear and buy your way past him.

2. In no other game of this genre is trade-to-win the core gameplay element.

3. Obviously not. We understand it's gambling, and gambling with the shittiest odds possible. Hence the request to fix the problem.

1). Then don't trade? I don't trade, I don't give a shit if other people do and I'm doing just fine by myself. If a boss is too tough, do have a problem with grouping up to take it down..? You know, in a multiplayer game?

2). I never traded in other games (of this genre) either, and yet I somehow managed to enjoy the many, many hours I spent on them. Trading in MMO's is different, since in many of them you physically can't create certain items yourself.

3). The odds are not shitty - your expectations are. I've never once used anything better than a 4-link and I seem to be managing just fine. I found my first 5-link axe a few days ago, which was kinda cool. I do not ever expect to win the virtual lottery that is a six-linked item.

I like the idea of the sfl and I trade very often but lately in standard league It makes me sick and I cant trade anymore its to much I have a hard time selling any item and I sell items under market value and spam all channels 1-20. cant even sell low lvl uniques for 1 alch.

as far as sfl it would be good but i dont think they would implement it for 1 very big reason. They have to alter there game for one game mode. I think it would be best for everyone if they just fix the trade chat/ economy / drop rates anything that can get the game back on track becuase a sfl wont fix these issues anyways.

At least we have an reasonable person in here that would say >fixing< the actual game itself is better then wasting time trying to make a magical "SFL" league for a part of their gamerbase because they feel entitled to be special.

Really silly post here. You honestly think that everyone who would play in this league voted in the thread or even comes to the forums? Ridiculous.

Everyone agrees on the same core concept which is no trading and rebalanced. Of course there are going to be differing opinions about the details. These are people not friggin robots.

I would really like to know why a league with no trading should use the same balancing as one with trading.

Just read this thread. People want the benefits of trading without having to actually trade. They want increased drop rates and easier crafting so they can have the same loot as someone who is trading. They want a much easier game. Something tells me GGG won't make their game THAT easy.

I don't know what your picturing here but there is no way in hell that GGG would possibly make the drop rates so good as to be easier than trading. Trading is the easiest way to play the game WITHOUT even playing it! You don't need to search for anything, just grind some orbs out and trade for whatever you want.

I have clearly stated that I do not want an easier game. In a self found league I should not become any richer than I am right now with the same play time. That would be absurd.

1. That is why this post is silly, it proves NOTHING because it is a small sample. You think everyone who think this league is a waste of time would had voted or come to the forums? It works both ways.

2. Everyone does not "agree" on the same core concepts and they will disagree on how it's going to be re-balanced. This further makes making a "SFL" pointless because they can't make all SFL players be happy with it. Like you said they are not robots or the same people, why do you think the "definition" stated hear speaks for everyone?

3. A person without trading and a person with trading has the exact same drop rates, because trading person can change his drops for another person's drops to get stuff faster does not mean his crafting, drop rates or how he plays the game is any different from you.
Time for heart break for all the people who are excited about the poll:

Check the date that thread was made, check how many pages it is...

Check GGG's responses.

I am guessing SFL is just on the horizon boys, lets just keep throwing temper tantrums in the forums.

I can tell you read the last two pages and stopped there. Virtually every SFL proponent has said the same thing.

Spoiler
PS - Using "an" is only needed when the following syllable begins with a sound associated with a vowel. For example:
an apple
an egg
an x-ray (the sound is "eks")

Its called a sample size and it gives a snapshot of what people want. You can't dismiss data in the forums simply because it doesn't have thousands of people voting or else there is no point to the forums at all. You can dismiss any feedback in the forums as too small to mean anything. Again, this was the same accusation I saw 100 times over against looting options. Go ahead and guess how popular looting options is right now.

Have you read the responses? Everyone wants no trading and some kind of rebalance. Thats all GGG needs to go on to make the majority of people wanting a SFL happy. They can then listen to feedback and make little changes along the way just like the current leagues.

What? The game is completely different for those two players, what are you smoking?
