Guide: Fireball CI Curser - Proliferated Burning Critical Fire Damage | In-depth | SC |

I am having a bit of fun with this build so far. Its Great! Thanks for helping me figure out where I wanted to go!

I did switch some things up on my 5L Searing. (until I pick up the right nodes)

I grabbed myself a 20% Increased Burning Damage for now (comes with +9% Chance to Ignite).

I was also lucky enough to have GCP'd up a quality fireball that I found to 20% (an extra 30% chance to ignite).

At this point, I can ignite a lot more around me with the +20% Fireball and Increased Burn + Flamability. Its around 79-85% chance to ignite.

The passive tree is pretty much on the line of what you outlined with yours.

Glad that you like it!

So many are using lmp with basic noncrit-ignite for lvling, i think imma soon have to do a paragraph about it! :D

I did do LMP from about 35 to 46 but then started to feel like I wasn't doing enough damage. With me, it did help spread things quite nicely, though, and made it easier for me. I switched LMP to Concentrated Effect, so I am almost at the point of what you suggested in your posts.

EDIT:

I will admit, I love my chance to ignite gem and +20% Increased Burning Damage, at the moment. Though, I may have to say good bye to those in the future.

At the time of this, I have:

Fireball (20%) - Concentrated Effect - Increased Burning Damage (20%) - Chance to Ignite - Elemental Proliferation (8%)

I have 76% additional chance to ignite on my fireball, with another 11% from flamability.

I think there's gonna come that point when you get enough critical damage where your noncrit ignites will be so low that you focus mostly on crits. I do i think almost 10 times as much damage when i crit, including critical weakness, so its like 10 times as strong.

When i leveled i didn't even think all that much about lmp chance to ignite and those, i kept dreaming about crits and just went for some heavy damage increases right from the bat, smashed through the content and didn't give much thought to it.

Im now around 35% crit or something like that and this is the point where i am starting to feel i get enough crits, but even when i was 18% crit like in the video (9 base and 9 from critical weakness), it still worked out well enough for me to not mind.

Farm farm farm :D

You can activate your auras or spells (like Tempest Shield) then take them off from your spell bar. They are not deactivated while you do that. Just try it.

Hey :)

You can just activate the aura then swap the skill slot to the next aura and activate that etc, it does not deactivate again.

Then i use arctic armour in that slot which needs to be applied every time you load.

EDIT: Ahh you are quicker than me :P

thank u guys :)
hi Crackmonster. i have a question for u
i'm a new player in POE
i watched the guide video, ignite applies only when fireball do crit damage? but why? how crit. damage helps to ignite the enemies? there's no skill or some to do this.

am i right that in order to ignite enemies with fireball need to use flammability just before and without this skill chance to ignite equals zero?

but how it works with crit? why critical damage ignites enemies?

All elemental damage will cause a special effect when you crit, 100%.

Cold will freeze enemies, Lightning will shock them (they take extra damage for a time), and Fire will cause them to burn.

Therefore you always cause them to burn when you crit. However, you also can can ignite without crits for example by using flammability or quality on your fireball (which gives chance to ignite). That is mostly useful when your gear/level is low.
