Guide: Fireball CI Curser - Proliferated Burning Critical Fire Damage | In-depth | SC |
" That alone, I wish I knew before trying to grind for my fireball 20% or increased burning chance 20%. ;) then again, my current critical chance is like... 10% total. lol. I need to work on that a bit. |

thanks for help! now everything is clear to me

later game i recommend you to use increased critical dmg instead of increased burning dmg. burning dmg without crit is too low later, and the increased crit dmg gem boots your dmg better. together with critical weakness this gem is twice strong.

I just started a character with this build yesterday and in a very short time I'm already near the end of Act 2 (normal). Of all the builds I've used so far (and I'm a true alt-aholic), this is the fastest at killing. Fun stuff! :)
It does make me wonder when things are going to start getting tough. But, until then, I'm loving melting faces! Last edited by Guero#1738 on Jul 3, 2013, 11:34:08 AM

Hi, i tried your build and it s verry fun, i am lvl 73 and it s work pretty well. I wanted to ask you : how about vulnerability? "Cursed enemies take 40% increased damage from Damage Over Time effects"
ty for this thread! |
|
" hey! sorry slow response here i was slacking around in offtopic :D Vulnerability works, but it only affects damage over time component and not the instant damage, for that reason it is not as good as the other curses, maybe half as good or less. I guess if you were in a party of all physical users it would be worth considering. If you wanted, for example, a 4th curse, then it would be better to use both elemental weakness and flammability. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

Ty for the answer, that was fast enought.. (:
I have a lot of fun grouping huge area of monsters and BURN THEM ALL!!!! :] |

Hey, I noticed your highest priority gem is Concentrated Effect. But this also reduces the AoE of Proliferation... this is what i'm rolling atm.
Do you think the concentrated effect is so necessary? I'm finding that a large number of mobs are actually running out of proliferate now. If I crit most non-boss enemies will die to the burn damage so I'm not sure if conc. eff. is necessary. what's your take on this? |
|
" I would not replace concentrated effect, you lose 41% of your singletarget/burn dps. The increased area of effect radius in the build together with concentrated effect leaves you at 110% of the normal concentrated effect radius. I have no issues at all with that myself. The area is quite large without concentrated effect but its just not as much dps. I guess there may be a zone before you get good enough gear, where your proliferation will not kill the monsters fast enough and it may run out of the area, and your crit chance is so low that it may take a little moment to land a new crit. That happens in particular with the monkeys. However now my damage is so high it dies almost instantly, at least when solo. It would also much reduce your single target dps for rares and bosses. Fireball does not do that much base damage, and ignite needs a large base hit so i think it would not be ideal to replace concentrated effect. There is another situation when you are solo in lower areas, or when boosting someone, where you can replace concentrated effect for increased area of effect for a massive area. You get 1.66 times larger radius than when you run concentrated effect when you pull that move (assuming quality increased area), but i only recommend it when the content dies by nothing. All in all, i don't have issues with the area at all, and that's really the reason i don't mind concentrated effect. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

Spoiler
My level 42 witch is really getting killed a lot in Cruel Act 2, in fact just lost half a level killing The Weaver. Would appreciate you taking a look at my character and making some suggestions as to what I need to upgrade. I have tried to get another fusing on to my Searing Touch, but no luck so far. |
