Guide: Fireball CI Curser - Proliferated Burning Critical Fire Damage | In-depth | SC |
" Heya Having a look at your gear, i can see that you have exceptionally low energy shield and life. From your gear you have a grand total of 36 life and 80 energy shield. This is almost nothing, very very low, no surprise that you die. How much do you have in total in game, energy shield and life? :D Focus on getting either intelligence items with energy shield on them or items with + life like your chest for leveling. Im going to sleep in half an hour, if you can catch me before i can at least see if i have something you could use instead to give you some more. In-game name: Khaop Else leave your character name here and i will get back to you tomorrow. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Cracmonster,
My witch characters in game name is Slutres. Thanks looking forward to meeting you. | |
Not sure if this has been asked before, but is this viable on Onslaught/Hardcore? I already have some of the CI uniques, but getting a Searing Touch will probably be difficult (because of its popularity at the moment).

Hey, whats about using winscreamer boots? This allows you to go in 2 ways:
1) use 4 curses or 2) free northern nods (hexmaster and whisper of dooms) - this way we put more ponts in crit dps NODs. What are you thinking about? Former old diablo 2 median player.

Txar, drop chance to ignite and trade it out for chance to crit. Does the same thing but higher damage in general and high burn damage since it's from a crit. Just put it on your secondary weapon set so it continues to level with you. Get some zombies for a meat shield even if you don't spec for it they help a lot they are a good decoy and you have a better chance to land your fireballs since they are atack your zombies. ANd my personal opinion is to drop firestorm for fire trap. High damage and works great with zombies as well. Again you don't need to spec for zombies they are just decoys. |

having lots of fun with this build at lvl 64! i'm new to the game and never leveled anything higher than ~lvl 50, but this char just kept getting better and better... so thanks for the guide!
i think i might start looking for a 5L chest soon but i have no idea about the market value... what is a fair price for a rare 5L chest with good ES, any estimations? |
|
Just want to take a moment to thank Crackmonster for his build and help, and Shadowscout for his suggestions, both have made my game play better and a lot more fun. Dying is overrated.

Hey guys, sorry, slow response here.
" Hey, You may want to adjust it for example with a skele totem or something like that. It's like all other CI it requires fair gear before chaos inoculation etc, but not different than others. Later on if you make it, you need to watch for reflect, dont take chances at all. It can be an idea to use firetraps to take care of them. It's a hard build to play flawlessly. " The boots can work but i do not recommend them. The reason is the lack of movement speed, this build relies on slowing enemies and having high movement speed with adrenalines in order to avoid damage. " First one to have the same experience as me! :D this build just keeps getting better and better, it is insane. I guess some 5-600 es chest with 5l is maybe worth 2-3 exalts? Just a rough guess i never bought one. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

Hey i just had a bit of luck last days with drops and i wanted to tell someone, so now im putting it here :D
Ran around slacking in lunaris a bit lately and then piety dropped a nice little shield for me: No complaints! Think i will eternal roll high es on the last property. Yesterday i purchased a 75 bazaar map for 1.3 ex, thought id give it a shot at generating some higher maps for me coz i had run out.. Did get a couple of good ones :=) I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Last edited by Crackmonster#7709 on Jul 10, 2013, 1:21:15 PM

Just wanted to, again, thank you for creating this guide, Crackmonster.
Currently level 61, farming fellshrine in merc (lvl60) and its a breeze. So much so that I can 2x andvarius it up and still not worry about much. My biggest concern now is finding a decent wand + energy shield so I can replace my 5L Searing Touch (I already have a 5L 400-500 es chest). At level 61, my passive tree looks like: (I deviated very slightly) My IIQ: 46% My IIR: 191% Current Tooltip DPS on Fireball: 1124 (not the best, but I manage). 22% Chance, 195% Multiplier, Burning increase: 130%. I need to focus on getting those higher, but I think thats where the wand+shield will come in handy. I run the 3 curses that you suggest and its quite fun (2 with my andvars - I don't seem to need temporal chains just yet).
My Farming Gear @Lvl 61
My Flasks that I run with (I just found a ruby, didn't put it in yet
- I am really happy about that diamond flask. It works wonders :) I'm just saying. At level 61 and Fellshrine appears too easy for me, even running with 2 andvars. Pretty impressive. I intend to resocket my Circlet and add Reduced Mana + Clarity + Discipline + Haste. Not sure what else just yet. I may add some zombies/skeletons/spectres to be my meatshield. While this build is great, I have also thought about respec'ing into a farmer build, as I'd really like to 6L and add item quantity to the last slot (though that doesn't work with Damage over time attacks like what burning does, if I recall correctly), though I think I will rock out more with this build as it is pretty fun ;) Last edited by kestalkayden#0043 on Jul 11, 2013, 9:05:20 AM
