Guide: Fireball CI Curser - Proliferated Burning Critical Fire Damage | In-depth | SC |
ele proli dont add any dmg. the point is, ele proli has a great range even with concentrated effect. without ele proli, you need ages to clear maps, with, you kill rooms with 1 hit.

" Hey! I had a look at that lovely robe of yours last night. I came to the conclusion that it will simply be too dangerous to use it for this build. There are 3 reasons it won't be ideal. This build is almost always "low" on mana, the thought behind it is you focus mainly on cursing/positioning and don't divert your focus to make sure you dont cast more than a few fireballs in a row. Energy shield reduction as you say, its gonna get you 1-2k less energy shield which is something this build does not have available to spare when dealing with elemental reflect at high gear levels. While the robe greatly increases damage, i think that the actual fire damage portion is even reduced due to much of your total damage being converted into chaos, and chaos doesnt cause increased damage of burn, so it will actually reduce your ignite dps and thereby your pack killing speed. The armour is lovely, but when your gear is good enough it will be too dangerous to play with unless you really love managing as many things as you can. It will be a complete beast when clearing no-challenge areas, so long as you watch out for reflect, but when facing the end content it will be too dangerous for regular play. At least, that's my take on it. If i was using some gmp/direct fire damage combo with life leech, then this robe would be insane to use, but its a bit of a mismatch with this build, since it converts fire damage into chaos. EDIT: The staff is actually pretty good for safe play due to more burn and less direct damage so it's easy on reflect. Get good energy shield before replacing i would suggest. " The way i die 90% of the time: Elemental reflect. Watch out, never ever critical weakness them or take even the slightest chances on hardcore. The hardest part is surviving long enough to get the gear/levels, when you have those it gets easier. Maybe try grabbing some more energy shield and remove whatever nodes are weakest for dps, i think that would be worth it on onslaught. Use skele totem or something like that to protect you, and again dont take chances, i never died with this build without taking a risky chance, every time was my own mistake. Okay, there were some underwater reflects where i couldn't tsee aura but i think that will be fixed one day. Maybe use firetraps against reflect, they should be pretty beastly, even use them against anything thats too dangerous for your gear. " It doesn't add single target damage, nope, but it does increased your ignite duration a bit with quality ::) I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

" I have a totem to deal with that ^^ I use Flame Totem + FirePen + LMP + Faster Casting as my secondary skill, getting all the aggro and melting creeps while I curse and FB. This way you just have to curse elemental reflect creeps and watch them die =) GGG fanboy

" Thanks, for the first piece of actually constructive criticism I've seen yet (as opposed to whining it makes Shav's harder to chance). I'm actually in the middle of working on a fire damage focused wand to accompany this robe. I was thinking about it giving energy shield on hit, but I will consider life on hit for it as well or instead. My goal with it is to make casting unnecessary thus usurping the downfall of Infernal Mantle. うにゅ? Last edited by NuclearRaven#5943 on Jun 27, 2013, 7:41:57 AM

Nice Guide!
I love the fireball build, it is more interesting than FP and Spark. But one question: Since ghost reaver is not taken, how to keep the ES without Leeching? The play sytle of this build should be avoiding damage using Temporal Chain, Arctic Armour and High moving speed? |

is the unique paua ring available in anarchy league?

I know that the best jewelry to go with the build is: Dream Fragments, Doedre's Damning, and Eye of Chayula, but I was wondering if I could switch Doedre for another ring. I have been looking around for some rare gloves but I cannot find ones that please me, so I looked at the unique gloves and saw the Hellbringer (now called Voidbringer). I really like those gloves but I noticed they would increase the cost of Fireball and pretty much everything else, which brings me back to why I am looking at another ring to help ease the high mana cost of spells.
Right now my Fireball costs around 80 in a 5L set up, so with those gloves it would cost 140. That is not so bad cuz my mana regen is at 200/sec, but casting 3 curses and then spamming Fireball, it would cripple me. So I looked at all the unique rings and saw Perandus Signet. That ring has a lot of mana by default and higher mana regen than Dreams, and since I would be wearing 6 uniques it would increase my Int by 18% which is a lot out like 350 Int. I though about a 2nd Dreams but I want a ring that would give me more benefits and be different :-P What do You guys think? IGN: BirgitSuomaa

the ring is awsome because 3 curses boost your dmg like nothing else.

" What a thoughtful reply, full of info. Moving on. Well I managed to get my hands on a Perandus and a Hellbringer. The DPS on my Fireball went up to 1800 which is a 250 DPS increase, my Int went up by 100, and my ES went up by 250. My mana regen is 200/sec, I guess I didn't have 200 like I though on my previous post :P What I am most happy about is the fact that the crit chance on my Fireball is @ 23% and before it was 13%, seeing as I am only level 75 and still haven't gotten the crit nodes from the shadow area, the crit increase comes in handy. Losing 1 curse will impact my DPS, but at least it will increase it for mobs that are immune to curses, on those I always hate being the one dealing the least amount of dmg. I always play in a party, so there is a chance that someone will come and overwrite my 3rd curse, so having just 2 is fine. I'm thinking of getting another Perandus and just being careful about cold dmg so I don't get frozen, still debating that. here is what I upgraded last night IGN: BirgitSuomaa
