Life vs Armour and Resists!

Thanks for taking the time to reply taekvideo, here is my reply to what you just said. By judgeing from your EHP part we both know everything there is to need to know about PoE when it comes to defences.

1. Stun chance = 200 * damage / defender_effective_max_life
So both reduction AND max life matter

2. Nobody would survive those flicker strikes, not even with 10k hp and 81% lightning resists
I can do those maps easly, but thats because I put temporal chains on them and kill them before they flicker me.

3. I still haven't found any heavy hitter in 64+ maps that could actually hurt me other then vaal and brutus so I really dont bother looking at that

4. Someone with 6k hp and 60-70% reduction will have max 1k dps while I got 1.2k hp and 90% reduction and 20k dps.

5. I DO NOT HAVE A TANK BUILD ( 10 points into armour, rest into dps )
IF I HAD A TANK BUILD I WOULD HAVE 6K LIFE, INSANE ARMOUR AND REGEN
I think this is the main point you guys get me wrong...

6. You can not get 6k armour without armour nodes ( without a shield )

7. I really have no idea why you guys bring up viper stike, it tickles... I dont even notice it because of my lifeleech. Yes it takes them 4x longer to kill you, but I oneshot them before they can even apply it to start with lol and they cant kill me to start with unless I run out of flasks which is highly unlikely because I oneshot whole groups

8. You just proved my whole fucking point with your EHP, you gain life from flasks, so it doesnt matter how much your max life is as long as you have enough max life to survive burst damage. I have 1.2k hp and oneshot anything, I do not run 64+ maps with 1.2k hp because the burst damage will rape me. In an EHP calculation you also factor in life gained from flasks, and if you do you will notice how little max life matters.

9. Once more, life regen is nice, but it takes atleast 50 skill points into life nodes and life regen to make it effective. My build is 90% damage, if I was going to tank endgame I would go 50% damage and 50% tank, saving me about 30-40 skillpoints to put into more armour or life nodes when my armour is maxed out.

Totally forgot about my death, I was trying infernal blow with a staff because my burning arrow build didnt work anymore since like 2 leagues ago. But didnt take any defence nodes at all just to try to oneshot enemies and died horribly XD

No, because you lost xp, which doesn't happen in pvp.

Just because armor is viable does not make it better than an hp build that takes very few/no armor nodes.

The spider boss, last time I fought him he put 3 charges on me. It was OK until I killed her. Then all the leech was gone and I was glad I had enough HP to survive. With low life you may waste a lot of flask potential because they hit your max HP and stop working. With high HP this won't happen.

Just use a saturated flask and you will even out the damage it deals.
She will never get 3 charges or even 1 charge on me because she dies in 1 hit to start with, again my build is not a tank build but a dps build. I maxed out armour to get 90% reduction from pretty much every monster and refused to take any life nodes to show people they are optional after you maxed out armour. ( optional as in only needed for reaction time and against insane burst damage which can be avoided if you play well )

Struyk, youve already proven that even with 600 hours, you do not understand the game mechanics.
Please study up on how the game works before trying to claim something about the system.
